YES are without any doubt, my all-time best ever favourite band in the history of music including every imaginable genre! I'm a Bass Player because of the finest ever on the planet, Mr Christopher Squire who is and will remain the best and that even takes into account all the awesome virtuosos in Fusion who all sound so similar! Chris is absolutely unique with a wonderful voice! To be able to play such ludicrously beautiful basslines in weird time signatures and sing such different vocal lines and play the Moog Taurus pedals shows a superhum amount of coordination!!! I love Chris like a wonderful older brother and I'll aways miss him with all my broken heart!!! XXXXX
Rabin displays an overwhelming technique on guitar...he plays mahavishnu on the middle of his solo with ease...see no limits for him...
Trevor Rabin wrote in his twitter: "Hi everyone, I am about as sad as I could be. You all I'm sure know by now that Chris has passed. I spoke to him about a week ago, and we were still laughing together. Even though he had recently taken a turn for the worse, this was not totally unexpected, and the shock and sadness is extreme. I will miss him terribly. An era is over. Music has lost a one of a kind, and I have lost a dear friend and brother. RIP"
Perhaps Chris' death will be the key needed to open the door of the rock and roll hall of fame! Its a travesty that Yes is not already there! RIP, to one of the greatest Bass players the world has seen!
Christopher Wood THOSE ASS HOLES IN CLEVELAND.......
stryder922 Many bands are missing that should be there.
Christopher Wood Forget the Hall of Shame Yes is too good for that nonsense.Alex Lifeson of Rush had the greatest speech there. They are a joke.If Yes is to continue Jon Anderson has to come back or else put the band to rest. They are just a tribute band now
You will not be the judge of whether Yes should cease to exist or not. Jon Anderson does not NEED Yes and Yes does not NEED Chris Squire. There will come a time when the last original member retires and the newest member takes his place. It is my sincere hope that Yes is playing great music a hundred years from now. Now THAT is something to say YES to.
We miss Chris Squire, nobody can play the bass like him, but Billy Sherwood has inherited a touch of Chris's spirit.
What a great collection of talent. One can only imagine the clash of egos that went on behind the curtains on this tour. Saw them in Atlanta at the Lakewood Amphitheater. Somehow, i had never heard Awaken before that day. Thought it was a new song. Absolutely blew my mind. It still does. Chris flies on the silent wings of freedom.
Chris plays that dirty bass like a lead guitarist. A master. Im glad to have seen in the year before he passed. I have some great images of him. RIP Chris
YES are some TALENTED MUSICIANS!!! Trevor Rabins solo is unreal!!!
Trevor showing up Steve..? ..that's okay Trevor earned it. I have played with Trevor in the past...A privilege indeed.
He’s the better guitarist. And he can read music
Yes is still one of my all time favorite bands. And Union is the best form of Yes ever. Sadly, Chris is no longer with us, but his legacy will live in infamy.
Start at 21:25 - Chris playing amazing Grace brought a tear... RIP Fish.
My God! Such collective of unique geniuses!
I think Yes had been the best musicians in the history of rock music. I love this group.
All members are so expressive yet dignified- VERY British...
@@petersonlafollette3521 Except Rabin who is south African. He is a VERY modest guy despite his massive talent. Totally wasted doing music for films, he resurrected Yes. He is completely underrated.
@@mcrobbj PS: A lot of SA are British as well !! kkkk
I would have to add Kansas to the mix. Each one of those guys were so tight and polished especially in their live shows.
Fantastic musicians...wow extreme talent !! Saw Yes in about 1982 ....Perfect !
Phenomenal.......Philly loves you Yes! Thank you for all the memories......
I saw this tour and frankly I thought it was,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,AMAZING!!!!
Holy freaking musicianship!🤯🥸🥳🤯😎🤯🧐🤯😮🤯🤔🥳🤯😵💫

Rick is definitively a monster of keyboards......And so was Chris with is Rickenbaker....RIP my dear friend 😭
Best band ever !
This is probably one of the very best concerts recorded by this great band: Yes. You feel the energy and the joy to play together again. Plus Anderson sound like Anderson, not like in other couple of concerts I had watched where he can't reach certain notes and even get crossed the beat/compass or time, whatever way you want to call it.. This is a great concert from this great band!!!
Owner of a lonely heart sounds stunning live
Ufffffff!!!!!!! Fenomenal Unión las dos baterias y las dos guitarras, los dos teclados fuera de serie.
Desde 1973 con solo 12 años comencé con yes. No he oido jamás una música que me haya hecho tan feliz. Sin duda son músicos al 100% y más
R.I.P. Mr. Squire!
zazdroszcze tej publice byc na takim koncercie YES
Heart of the Sunrise starts around 38:40 (well, that's Jon commenting, first)... and a signature motif of the song, played by CHRIS SQUIRE, starts around 39:30. RIP, Chris... enjoy the revelation; thanks for coming to the planet, helping us to "wake up and dream."
If I could 'Like' your comment a thousand times, I would.
If only that beautiful Union lasted. It was the absolute height of YES.
For me, every one and each one are very good musicians, two guitars are different, but very good both
Oh my god i don't know how to express my admiration
cocoroco I think you just did quite well.
Trevor Rabin is great
ouahhhhhhhhhhhh la claque!!!!!
quel concert fabuleux
mr squire merci pour tous ses bon moments tu ma fais vibrer avec ta basse pendant toutes ses années repose en paix

I enjoyed the Union concert.93 if I remember,Rick was with the page 3 model Nina who was at the concert and her name was announced over the tannoy.Again another enjoyable concert great musicianship
Dang! The bestest juiciest bits of Yes to be had! Thank you!!!

Monsters of rock, not just prog rock!
Perfecto, increíble ésta es la indiscutible formación de YES los más grandes por siempre!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Adiós Alan !!!! Fuiste, eres y serás!
Le magnifike maestro de la guitarra extraordinario
So many difference between Rabin and Howe. Rabin seems more laid back and has great chemistry with Wakeman and Squire. Howe, on the other hand, is so focused and dialed n. Rabin is a shredder and a rock guitarist. Howe is a master at so many styles. I'm so glad they could coexist in this tour because that was the absolute highlight for me. And nothing against Tony Kaye, one of the best keyboardist in rock, but Wakeman is a composer, a true pianist. Could never figure out my favorite lineup until this tour.
Rabin is not just a shredder he is MILES more talented than Howe ( who is not a bad player) , its just a pity that his talents were wasted on movie soundtracks rather than music. The man gifted 90125 to Yes.
@@mcrobbjHowe won a number of best guitarist awards from Guitar Player in the 70s an amazing achievement considering the competition.
Lo máximo . Estuve allí carajo !
This my #1 group .
Jajaja Yes es el papá de Rush !
Holy shit! This is amazing.
genio Rabin ,steve howe ancient master
Wakeman was a genius
special , fabuleux ...
Best modern art and rock..
Chris largely did the same schtick when I saw them (in front of a much smaller audience) in 1997; it was corny and over-the-top, but great. He knew exactly how to pull it off, and definitely had the best stage presence (sorry Jon). It also helped that they cranked his Rick up so you could feel the low notes in your chest!
Hoy mi hija ❤️ cumple 47años y recuerdo el momento en que la recibimos ❤fue escribí cuando. yes💙❤️✨🫶🇦🇷grzciasss
GREEEEAAAAAATS: RICK, STEVE, CHRIS, ALAN, TREVOR . . .
Jon.
This will serve to remind EVERYONE of what the Masters can do.
This is a routine invitation to the apprentices of what they can learn from.said masters and further accomplish once on their own but alas, it has one other much more sacred component: that the masters that once were CANNOT BE DUPLICATED.
We have these "servants" to help add additional harmony.
In no way is this the YES we once knew and loved...no.
That YES has gone into a new existence.
Ciao.
So many scream Emerson, may he rest in eternal peace...but Wakeman is a master guiness, and comical as well. I saw this Union tour and thought it was great. Talk about a super group.
It’s a shame they didn’t think to involve Peter Banks in this tour. How cool would it have been to have THE ORIGINAL lineup play some of the really ancient Yes songs…and have the rest of the guys kick in their parts or interpretations.
Спасибо за такое качество. Я давно искал йес вместе вэйкманом и теперь я очень доволен
Are you so satisfied you're on your way?😊
Que monstruos por favor!!

Only thing I can say: YES
There will be YES. rock is pretty good, too

🤩 wow !!!
steve howe (vivaldi's largo winter) AWESSSSSOME
very vintage!
Much respect to Steve Howe but Trevor Rabin is the one…..tbh if it weren’t for Trevor Rabin bringing owner of a lonely heart, stealing my dads copy of 90125 and listening to it over and over again, I would have never picked up an instrument…..Trevor Rabin is the reason why I play an instrument. Period
Agreed, cant understand why he is so underrated. Wasted on movie scores, the man is so modest too.
Состав отличный. Здесь не поспоришь
Wow, Trevor Rabin totally blew Steve Howe away...
The solos were of a completely of a different nature. Shredding on a ES-175 is no easy feat..
Yes, if you think that playing 10000 notes per minute is better than making music.
@@Yesshows01 What is even more impressive is playing 10,000 notes per minute and making them musical. Only the greatest musicians can create music out of the most difficult, virtuosic compositions. Oh, and BTW, Trevor Rabin is a best-in-class lead singer, in addition to being a master on guitar, piano and violin. Perhaps most importantly, Trevor is a gifted composer who transcends musical idioms. His compositions encompass forms and styles that span prog, rock, pop, jazz, classical and film music. The man can improvise and play-by-ear, yet he also composes, scores, orchestrates, records and produces film soundtracks at a fast clip. There is no comparison: Trevor Rabin >>> Steve Howe.
@@Yesshows01 It's ironic that you criticize Trevor Rabin's virtuosity on guitar because many accomplished musicians have criticized Steve Howe for his tendency to fallback on speed and flash in lieu of composing more profound musical passages that would better suite the ensemble or section of music. Personally, I think Steve's 'hits' far outshine his 'misses.' and at his best he plays precise, fast passages that do in fact really work with everything else going on. Because he plays so precisely with such a unique style, even his less stellar parts never sound bad; however, they can have a tendency to sound slightly cheesy or out of place. As Doug Helvering said about a certain Steve Howe Part, 'I think that was a compositional mistake.'
@@mr.wizard9785 You can find many guitar players like Trevor, and not too many like Howe; it is not an opinion, it is a fact, like it or not. If you admire Rabin, it is ok; he is a fantastic guitarist, but Howe is one of his own. I admire both of them, but I cannot say Trevor Rabin is better than Howe, and you can´t as well. You prefer Rabin, OK; that´s your taste, your opinion, nothing else.
Let's do it again in 2022
Peter Banks : Barroom Guitar .
What happens when these true talents pass on? We are then stuck with G-chord strummers, cheap voice synth boxes, keyboardists with no creativity? We are heading for the dark ages.... it's coming.
I get up I get down
Que bien se conservan excelentemente Wakeman, Squire y Anderson. Que disciplina señores.
I Got to see Wakeman when he was with Asia (but I don't remember what year that was. :/)
How do I say no !
Interesting... a show from the Union Tour that wasn't in the Round.
Can't help but notice the lack of a certain Mr. Howe on stage during "Owner Of A Lonely Heart". I last saw Yes right before they recorded 'Fly From Here', and he was such a sourpuss when he had to play it...pouted like a spoiled weasel-faced child and stood stock-still. He seems to forget that the Rabin era of Yes allowed the band to stay afloat, giving him the chance to cash in for a few more decades and a million more live albums of the same 1970s chestnuts. I love the band still, but his pettiness (see his treatment of Peter Banks) is quite off-putting.
Some sources say that Steve Howe didn't want Peter Banks to play at the Union event in London. However, Howe has denied these allegations in later interviews. Could you perhaps elaborate if there is something else as well or was this what you meant by Howe's pettiness?
What you wrote was as distasteful as it gets....Howe is a class act you Weener.
Heat of The Moment and Owner of a Lonely Heart familiar? WTF is he talking about?
I've read much about Howe resenting Owner of a Lonely Heart, and the evidence cited is usually his absence during the song for this tour's shows. Maybe some additional years helped, as it's a fair contrast to see him perform on the song in later years, most notably at the Prince's Trust Concert for Trevor Horn in 2004, which had him share the stage with Rabin (and Squire/White/Downes, but no Anderson). He had a really great solo on his hollowbody at the end of the song, filling the role of Wakeman's solo on Union tour performances.
Teve um russo recente tbm.

¿Hay un karateca en la banda?
10:43 Why he played a McLaughlin-theme?
I am a big fan of Steve and Trevor... but these days Trevor is the man and kinda has been for a long time. Steve is a shadow of his former self, age and arrogance has caught up to him.
Dan Jack-son If not for Rabin, Yes would be buried in the 70's. He refreshed their sound. By the way, I like Howe"s Era.
I think Trevor plays in metal-style and Steve plays always in Yes-style
Steve Howe smokes Trevor Rabin here - and Trevor’s incredible. Steve’s got so much more style. Trevor’s insanely talented but it all sort of becomes a sonic mess, whereas Howe keeps all of his playing musical & within the Yes vocabulary. If anything, their back-to-back solos brought me to a greater appreciation for Howe.
ŻAL ,BĘDZIE UMIERAĆ MAM 58 LAT UWIELBIAM YES. I INNE ZESPOŁY Z LAT 70 -DEEP PURPLE ,LED ZEPPELIN
For those who don't know, check out Rick Wakemans solo album " 6 wives of Henry VIII". Amazing
All kingly players,i wonder if Trevor R & Steve H were bros going to get a sandwich sometimes...prob not.
What sorcery is this?
You don't get bands like this anymore all great musicians and learnt their instruments shame these days are gone 10 a penny now kids buy any old shite bands like this had to work hard to get somewhere not now stars from nowhere a d don't last 5 minutes all sound the same cheap music
Difficult to say"No".
Hmmm 1991. 15 years after punk apparently buried proper music. Dinosaurs still touring and getting better all the time and talentless twats long since extinct.
Hey - if you are gonna play music this heavy wear some tattoos .
The guitarist here is Trevor Rabin not Steve Howe; Steve howe could not play guitar, but made good songs ....
Steve couldn't play guitar? Just what universe do you preside in????
Kratos 999 ... I'm still trying to get mood 4 a day down patt, and this is afta 40yrs of practice! so, pleeeze, don't tell me that Steve can't play. Yes, in every incarnation r just GR8 !!!!!!!!
Steve is here too. Don't you see him? :)
Steve Howe such an overrated Gitarre Player
He may be overrated on the 'Gitarre' but he's a superb all round stylist on the GUITAR, but you don't have to accept my opinion just watch him play with Les Paul on TH-cam and see what he says. 😁
At 70 I enjoy listening to Yes as when I was 16-17as with Floyd Zeppelin Genesis Santana Steely Dan ELP Deep Purple Rainbow The Doors Supertramp, the list goes on
We are of the same age and we still rock. I just get a charge when I crank my stereo, of course the wife says...Are you deaf! Not in the least. I just love my music.
Trevor Rabin... such an underrated guitar player
Sous-estimé peut-être, mais à côté de Howe il n'a pas d'hipotéses. Trevor a bien fait de choisir les compositions pour le cinema.
Omg he’s incredibly great!👍
