JUCO also shows guys if they can actually play baseball at the college level. There is talent at every level of college baseball, guys throwing 90 is almost the norm. D2,D3,NAIA, and NCCAA all have DUDES!!

Whats up man, im a pitcher at Anne Arundel CC. Just wanted to say i agree with everything you said, it’s definitely a grind. But I love it, definitely wouldn’t trade the juco experience for anything.

JUCOs are a great option. Some have 0 scholarships but you can get enough scholarship money academically to go for free or almost free. The ones that do have scholarships do not have the limitations that NCAA schools do that limit how many scholarships they can have or how they can split them.
Academically a JUCO allows you to take the core courses that everyone has to take for free or very cheap.
From a baseball perspective there is a TON of talent at the JUCO level. It gives you the opportunity to prove to 4 year NCAA and NAIA coaches that you can play at the next level.
In almost 20 years of coaching, I can't tell you how many high school guys obsess over playing at the D1 level. Literally D1 or bust and nothing could be further from the truth. Every level of college baseball is extremely competitive and JUCO is often a better fit than any other level as it also gives players an additional 2 years to acclimate to college level sports and academics all while spending a lot less or even no money while proving to 4 year coaches and institutions that you can perform at that level.
