  • In this video I take you through my process of photographing commercial airplanes at Dulles Airport. Aviation is one of my favorite photography outlets as it will let you be creative with your editing style, and there is very little pressure.

Fantastic video. Lived in Herdon for 20 years. All the vehicle footage is very familiar. Thanks!

I know this video is older, but I’m new to this, I love the principle of this video though. The idea that someone has to go out and 4,000 dollars to shoot planes is absolutely crazy, I use a 4 year old Canon 90D and it works just fine for me

Hi I'm looking to get in to the aviation photography side as I do go to air shows did use my phone but think its time to trade up. Looking for some advice and recommendations on what camera to go for ?? The 2 I been told look at are the Canon R or the Sony Alpha A7 III. What are people's thoughts ??
The two Brand are mainly Canon or Sony
I prefer the Full Frame an Mirrorless side.
Got a budget £2000 in the UK

What focus area and metering mode do you use? I’m shooting on a a7iii. I’m getting ready to go catch the flight my mom is working on today. Great video by the way.

Hi brov, i have just started with plane spotting. I currently use iphone to shoot the videos. Can you guide as to which would be a good entry level camera to shoot videos ? Not phictures. Thanks 😊

The Sony ZV-1 would be great for this, but I’m not very well versed on what the competitors may be. Good luck! I hope to come across your videos some time 👍

Love the expletives, then again you are driving a Tesla, you are obviously better than us the great unwashed polluting masses, forgive us. BTW, I can fill my Bronco up in 5 minutes and back on the road and it won’t burst into flames if water seeps into the battery. I wanna take purrdy pictures like y’all.

What type of lense should you use for contrail spoting? As in at like 20-40k feet?

At least 300-800mm will do. But you you may still need to crop in
