Great video as always, i live in Chesham so good to see the journey here at night, Its also nice to see the rest of the line at night, completely different view point. Thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed the video 👍
You are like Dale Charman he films his driving duties on the Piccadilly Line and he’s a good driver and as someone who used to use both lines as a kid I know every stop on the section from Harrow on the Hill to Uxbridge and from Rayners Lane to Aldgate
Yeah i have seen some of his videos he does a decent job of showing the picc line 👍
Maybe you two can swap notes
@@NeilShearer-ok2gi I’m good thanks i’ve done my time driving in tunnels all day 😂
@@traindrivergamer4279 I would love to be a tube train driver
What time ⏲️ of night 🌙 was filmed 🎥 at any Chiltern Trains 🚆 working
this was the 2330 from Chesham on a sunday, not sure if chiltern was running that night. The last one would of left harrow at 2339 towards aylesbury.
How do you go about getting things like cab rides? I have emailed tfl but they haven't replied
Some go from Chesham and others go from Uxbridge to Aldgate
Great video, as informative as ever. Look forward to the daytime vids. Enjoy your leave. 🌴🌴
Thank you, leave done back at work and recorded some daytime stuff including some semi fast running and engineering works. 👍
So the train that was on the southbound fast is going on the Klondike road into Neasden’s depot
no its going onto the reception road to enter the depot. Klondyke roads are the ones right outside the front of the depot as we pass alongside it.
@39:30 ish - the LIGHTNING is really quite impressive ;0
I find it slightly mad that a train intended to carry 100s of commuters through some of the busiest stations in London is out-in-the-sticks on a single-line branch AND PASSES ANOTHER
All because of the Metroland project I guess - it cannot be profitable to run trains out there tho surely?
thank you.
i thought all trains from chesham went to aldgate.
Depends on the time of day. Generally during the day they will go to aldgate but late night such as this will go to baker st, and then the last ones go as far as rickmansworth.
Do you get much custom from Chesham, generally?
in the morning peak its quite busy, then steady during the day but late evening not many passengers getting on but a few getting off there.
@@traindrivergamer4279 thanks👍
I'm on the Met this weekend doing more testing.
@@jfs0996 you testing sma9 aren’t you?
@traindrivergamer4279 Yes, mate. I quite like the mess room for meal breaks at HOH 😊
47:40 Well, you learn something new every day! Didn't know it was front of train, that said it does make sense, train lengths don't vary as much after all!
(on a relevant note, do the Chiltern drivers also accelerate when the front of their trains pass the sign, or do they just wait for their rear to pass the sign?)
@@fetchstixRHD having been on chiltern as passenger they seem to accelerate when rear has passed sign maybe its just habit.
@@traindrivergamer4279: I figured it might have been that, probably easier to stay consistent overall too!
@fetchstixRHD At the moment, we (national rail) accelerate once the rear of the train is clear of the speed board. But in December, I believe there is a Rule Book change where we can speed up at the commencement of said board.
