Here's another one people may not know: If Interstate is even number (Ex. I-10, 90, etc) it runs East-West; If it's Odd (Ex. I-55, I-65), it runs North-South.

How come in Seattle there’s always exits in the farthest left lane of a highway? I thought exits were designed to be on the right side?

how do you have exits on both sides?? european roads only exit (and join) on one side.

it’s mostly on the right but when there are freeways and highways forking off those are on the left

Better than pointy exit signs. Only states with ROUNDED exit signs are NY, VA(MIXED), NC, & FL. Look REALLY closely at the edges of these signs and you’ll see what I mean. Also, where the exit sign is also is which lane it’s indicated to.

New Jersey uses rounded exit signs also but mostly in the NYC area I think
