Your advise of rotating the brush while you load it in order to maintain a sharp tip was quite helpful to me! Thanks for a terrific video!
Hahaha 7 years later man and this video is still the king of how to use brushed for newbies....top work man 😃👍
Just picked up some of that brush cleaner last night at my local craft warehouse. I have to say it works excellent! Brought back to life some brushes I never thought I would use again.
Wow that soap tip is invaluable. Gonna get me a pot of that asap
Wow, that video was such a help, I have been doing everything wrong with my brushes, loading and cleaning. Thank you so much. I will start again and apply what I 've learned.
Very, very helpful! Thanks! You were very detailed and did a great job demonstrating how to do every step/tip.
You have just saved my life and my wallet. Thank you so much!
I already knew about the brush cleaner and it's very good advice. The brush loading is different and I am keen to give it a try myself. Thanks.
I love this guy!
I DIDNT KNOW THERE WAS BRUSH SOAP!
THIS COULD HAVE SAVED ME SO MUCH MONEY AND SO MANY SPOTTER BRUSHES!

The guy at Games Workshop in Denver told us that you can strip the paint off with Formula 409 or Simple Green.
Thanks a lot dude ! Useful tutorial ;)
Is there a way to remove paint from your models? I have some older models that I would like to redo now that my skills have improved, but lathering on another whole multiple coats of paint to these models would really mess up some of the details in the model itself
Thanks to your tips I'm really happy with how my Tau have been coming along. Investing in some winsor newton series 7's. You get what you pay for with brushes, and cheap dollar store brushes don't cut it for me :/ Thanks again MWG.
some tips how to make armor more shiny or how to use many washes to achive different looks of metallics ( true metallics).
I just bought a squad of cadian troopers fr eBay. Worse mistake ($10 though so not mic of a mistake). Anyways they person primed it with spray paint. Not only that but he really loaded it up with spray paint that the fine details are pretty much nonexistent. Is there any way to safely remove paint from a model without damaging it?
good video - thanks as always !
What’s the name of the brush cleaner and preserver that you used?
Do you have a list for newbies?
Any tips or tricks for painting rust?
could you maybe do a tip video on painting faces or skin because my army is imperial guard so it would be very helpful
I have a question regarding brush care. Is there a way to clean the metal part of the bush so that it doesn't look smeared? I ask because the plastic cover only protects the tip if the metal part while the rest of it isn't. I tried alcohol, but that doesn't work. What should I use?
Sorry to bump an ancient question but that part of the brush is the ferrule and you’re going to want to avoid getting paint in or on that - it’s very difficult to get paint out once you’ve worked it into that part. I would get a new brush if it’s too bad, or a lot of hot water and patience
Please make a quick tip about the loaded brush technique
if i dip my brush into a paint thinner, would it serve the same purpose as the brush soap to get rid of the residual paints in the brush? would it damage the brush?
It probably wouldn't be good for the brush, and I doubt it's get residue off the brush
What do you use as your palette?
I’m a new painter ( warhammer )I’ve been making sure not to get paint in my furrow and cleaning the brushes making sure it doesn’t touch the bottom of the cup when I’m rinsing and my brushes seem to get like a Nike swoosh on the end of it? Does anyone have any idea what I might be doing wrong to cause this ?
I use the kind of paint in the small cans and it has no "lip" have any suggestions on using it ? Maybe get the paint off of the lid ?
Get citadel or vallejo, they're better all around than testors
