If you don't have an allowance you can save up money such as looking for loose change I've so far gotten 3.45 and I need tons of stuff for a rabbit

Thank you so much!!! I finally convinced my parents to get me a bunny! All I did was wrote on a page all the facts about bunny’s , what they ate, what would happen when we weren’t there, what they eat, what vet they would go to and we’re they would sleep! And I drew a picture of a bunny at the bottom ! At first I was nervous to ask them and I’m getting my bunny after quarantine is over! I’m so excited! :) thx!

Did you ask if they had a specific reason? If not ask. Most of the time the reason is smell or they are unsure if you are really ready. I have a video on controlling rabbit odor indoors if this is the reason. Most parents think rabbits will stick but they will not if you use a litter box, have the right size enclosure (large) & keep the area clean by spot cleaning daily.
Well... I turned out that I might just get 2 more guinea pigs. But I will keep this in mind.

I asked them if I could get a bunny for years but there reason was always "We are not looking after it when you leave home!" I am 13 so I am not leaving home for quite some time... 🐰🐇

Totally watching this as an adult who already owns two bunnies! Wish I saw this when I got my first rabbit at 11 years old- I literally begged mine for 5 solid weeks until they gave in- Honestly I made a PowerPoint presentation. I have come along way in 11 years! haha

@jazzy bunnies can absolutely have a properly sized enclosure as long as the are provided time out to exercise daily. Free roaming is not the only option & it’s not always the best option.

I NEED HELP!!! So I have had a bunny AGES ago (the rabbit was a rescue and got hit by a car D^:). I also had 2 guinea pigs. A few months ago, one of them died (the other died last year so no guinea pigs). My friend had a bunny and I really want one. I researched everything and we still had all the food, water, cage, hutch, toys, brushes, blankets, house things and MORE. My mum said that we already have too many pets and that they are too expensive. (we only have a budgie and a dog). I even said that I will pay for the entire costing and I mean ENTIRE costing. She still said no. Then a few weeks later I wrote a 2 A4 pages on what I will do, how to look after a rabbit, rescue rabbits and all the costs. I also had tons of reasons that objected her arguments. I even said that if in a few weeks I could show her that I can be responsible and if I'm not, I won't get a rabbit but if I am then I will get one. SHE STILL SAID NO! She doesn't even have any reasons on why I shouldn't get a rabbit because I researched about rabbits so much. I desperately want a rabbit!!!!
I did all this and I still am waiting for a bunny!!

Nellie Bertram I’m sorry, I know you want a bunny very bad but they require care everyday! It’s not like a cat where you can leave food and water and leave for a few days. My suggestion is to find a friend or family member that would be willing to take your bunny when your away or at least stop by a couple times a day to feed & check on your bunny depending on how long your gone. Then talk to your parents again about the arrangements you would make for your bunny while your at the lake house. Another option is to find out why you can’t take your bunny to the lake house. You can get a travel carrier & foldable dog xpen to set up there and make a little area for your bunny. If you can’t make arrangements for your bunny while your gone or take him with you then your parents are right. It would not be a good idea to get a bunny because you could not take care of all off it’s needs while your gone. Good luck! Let me know what happens 🐰❤️

Abby Cackowski-Schnell Some bunnies, like the Rex and mini Rex, are hypoallergenic. This means that their fur will not bother people with allergies similar to some breeds of dogs like the Maltese and poodle. Check into Hypoallergenic Bunnies online.

I have a hamster and a dog right now and they do great together. My dog is 9 and my hamster is about 7 months old. I want to get a rabbit from RSPCA since I am responsible enough, I’ve had 4 guinea pigs and 2 hamsters at once before.
I have a somewhat big room where I could free roam the bunny. My dog knows it’s forbidden to go upstairs so he doesn’t even go up there. I still have the hay from my old guinea pigs and I have 4 food dishes which I could use as water bowls and veggie bowls. I have a cat litter box from my guinea pigs that I could use as well.
I’ve basically thought it all out but my mum says what’s the point of a bunny when you already have a hamster, well my point is there’s people who have 25+ pets out there so why not just 3?
‘Scuse Me if you know you can handle the care of all your pets then I don’t see a problem with more pets but it’s important to know your limit. When I was a kid I had a lot of pets too. Including hamsters. I have 17 bunnies now, some pets & some rescues. I have a small rabbit rescue in Tampa, Florida.

Winters Animals all I really did was a lot of research, most important thing (obviously)! I found myself telling my parents one fun fact about rabbits every day (they can be litter trained, some do agility etc.) just to make them interested in them! and if they say no the first time you ask them, don’t get mad or cry, just ask them why and if they say they smell or they’re hard work prove that they’re the opposite! just be consistent with care for other pets as well :)

-My brother is allergic to dogs and cats, so a bunny is a nice pet for our home.
-We have not had any pets, but we are both ready for the responsibility.
-We recently moved out my brother’s old bunk bed and that room has now been empty, which could be nice for a bunny room.
-Since bunnies are social animals, we will be getting two. My brother will take care of one and I would do the other, but they will live together.
-My dad has owed me some money, so I will be able to invest into paying for it all by ourselves!
AngoTheBanjo this sounds great! I would also make a care list including what bunnies eat & what type of setup you plan to have so you parents can see the thought you put into your new pet and they know that you understand the responsibility
Tiffany’s Bunny Gang Thank you so much! I’ve watched bunny videos and have decided that it would live in a pen, not a cage. My brother will handle having the beds ready, giving them their meal (grass, vegetables) and will reward them with one piece of fruit a day, he will also make sure the litter box is good. I would give them water, clean up the hay, and clean up the toys at the end of the day! Thank you again, we are so excited and cannot stop talking about bunnies!!!!

I really want a rabbit, but in our situation it’s hard. I have a cat and a dog, and it would be hard to also have a bunny. My mom has had many bunnies before, so she already knows most of its needs. The hard thing is, we might be moving to Texas or even Idaho. Both of those places are to hot and cold for a bunny. My parents are also concerned if we do get a bunny, how would we move it?
