Guatemala is so beautiful, rich, unique and magical. Guatemala has so many beautiful provinces like Solola, Quetzaltenango, Belice, San Marcos, Izabal, Peten etc. Guatemala even gets some snow in the highest points of the western highlands. The Malvinas belong to Argentina 🇦🇷 and Belice belongs to Guatemala 🇬🇹. By law and history Belice is 100% Guatemalan territory. God bless you all 🙏

I was born in Belize, but migrated at twelve years of age and grew up in Texas. I just wanted to say you both did a great job informing people and travelers about Belize and its culture. The only thing I’d like to point out is that Belizeans pronounce our Cayes as “keys” and not Kays.

Thank you so much for pointing out that Belize City isn't the dangerous place people make it out to be, although I have not been back to Belize for a few years, I have NEVER felt unsafe down town in Belize. Of course, everywhere has its problems, but being sensible is all that is needed. Belize is truly the jewel of the Caribbean.

Thanks, I was seriously researching, & thinking of moving to Belize after I retired. But ended up moving to a rural part of No. East Tennessee. Happy I did, (4 yes later), I'm now thinking of perhaps spending the winter months in Belize &/or Costa Rica. I'm not rolling in $'s but think I might be able to rent a couple of month here and there. Perhaps with the help of one of the nice local friends you met there during the time you have stayed there.
Thanks again for sharing your experiences, I hope to visit Belize some day soon.

As an owner of near 15 years I think you guys may have missed the boat by not checking out the southern portion of Ambergris better, ie south of Victoria House, local neighborhood watch, great neighborhoods, many reasonable beachfront vacation rentals, much quieter and less commercial than northern venues.

    • @CrazyEmptyNest

Hi Christian - you should be fine to stay within your budget in Belize. Our recommendation is to NOT book anything long term (6-12 months) online as the prices are higher. Go down to Belize and talk with the locals and expats and you will find housing much cheaper than what is listed online. Housing will be your biggest expense so keep that moderate and you will have a great quality of life in Belize. We would also budget in flights back to the U.S. for medical treatment with the VA, whether annual or semi-annual. Routine medical can be done in Belize but your 100% P&T status gives you access to other benefits like dental, long term care in the future, etc. This is a huge benefit that many people do not have. Best of luck! - Jenny and Lance

You guys rock! One of the best honest experience videos I’ve seen on Belize. Next time you are in Belmopan, hit me up; Dinner’s on me 😉🇧🇿

Also make sure you have your seatbelt on when going through the checkpoints.

Best video! it is easy to follow and understand for people like me whose English is not the first language. Can I ask if I can bring my rental car through the water taxi to San Pedro? Thank you

hi great video. We are a family of 5 (3 kids 17, 14, 11). We love adventure. We are planning a trip to Belize in Dec for 9 nights. Where should we stay? Should we base in one area or move around? Is it worth takign the time to fly to Ambergris Caye? thanks!

@@ghazalvahdat9997 - We’d split our time between Ambergris Caye or Caye Caulker and San Ignacio. This way, you’d get the beach and the jungle. San Ignacio would have a lot of outdoor adventures for the kids you can see in our other videos such as ATM cave, kayaking, Mayan ruins. Hope you have a great trip! - Lance and Jenny
