about a month ago my long-time friend and musical partner ferro.fluid came and stayed at my house for a weekend. over the span of a couple days we recorded and produced these 4 tracks.
currently none of these songs are available to listen to individually.. so go bug ferro.fluid to help convince him to make it happen.. lol
my own contribution to the music basically amounted to playing my guitar and synthesizer, while he engineered, arranged, and mastered everything.
to encapsulate the entire weekend's project into one cohesive piece, we set up his DJ gear and my VJ rig in the living room, with my projector and CRT acting as a conduit to visualize the music using audio reactive analog glitch hardware.
we recorded this entire mini-set in one single take, with all of the transitions and mixing done live by ferro.fluid. at the same time, i manually controlled all of the visuals from my laptop using Resolume Arena.
this is actually not the first time we've collaborated together.. in the summer of 2021 we worked together to create an EP titled 'Void Sessions' under the collective name - Planet X.

i think we've both come a long way artistically, ferro.fluid especially has grown into an extremely talented producer and DJ. my musical skills haven't progressed nearly as much, but now i make these funky videos too :]
All of the visuals shown in this video where composited from loops purchased from @LiquidLightLab , @MicahBuzanANIMATION , and @glass_crane . I ran their visuals through feedback loops, audio-reactive effects, and analog glitch effects. I used analog glitch hardware made by @mezkalinvideogear6210 & @LoFiFuture .
all of the footage in this video was recorded using my tapeless camcorder rig, which consists of a Sony DCR-TRV8 camcorder, an Immersion Powerplay VCR, and custom parts made by @devbuild.digital [on Instagram].
