Most seem an expensive way of reinventing the wheel, the Hammer is used around the world, tends to be hard on the trailer chassis and the high demand for hydraulic capacity if used for high frequency container movements, it’s heavy but very practical.
Drop box truck and trailers have been around for years, are usually simple boxes with pullout legs using the trucks air suspension to set down and pick up, setting a box on the ground is very simple with a hook loader & quick.
Using integrated lifting legs have been tried but come with many issues on reliability especially if electrically operated as transport is a harsh environment.

I agree. Hammar sideloader is absolutely the most practical way quick and easy

really cool, I was wondering if you want to move around your container what would be most sensible way to do that, this seems so great.

Most systems showed are very clumsy compared to the systems we use in Sweden, för example our Hammar sideloaders for containers or hook lift roll-off for flatbeds.

These all seem massively over-engineered, particularly for one-off unloading of one-trip containers at end-client. Is there not a low-tech solution for off-loading containers?
I thought perhaps four toe-jacks, or eye-jacks or similar, each on top of a (temporary) pillar of (unmortared) dense concrete blocks (laid horizontally) four-per course stabilized by concrete slab at each of the four corners. Reverse the truck between the pillars, then jack up the container, then drive the truck out. Then progressively lower the container to the ground, progressively removing one layer of blocks at a time. This is a slightly simplistic description of the lowering process, but the point is it would be done slowly and methodically taking hours (or weeks if you want). All the materials apart from the jacks would be reusable for some other purpose.
    Is this not a possibility?
We live in a remote location with no easy access to machinery, such as Hiabs, cranes etc. hence the interest.

When you’re developing something to lift 36 metric tons, it needs to be over engineered.
