Apparently Baldur's Gate: Descent Into Avernus takes place right before BG3 and is the reason for so many tieflings, maybe do an overview of what happened in that game?

Sadly, for me, I think this video illustrates very well why storytelling in CRPG's these days falls short. And the reason is They go too Epic too Fast, right from the start. Do you remember how the story started in Baldur's Gate 1? You had no idea who or what the premise of the story even was! Yet it still managed to engage you with an ever growing mystery and a sense of urgency. When you started the game, you felt like a nobody, rather than a self assured hero. You weren't starting the game by being summoned before the King, or a God, or a Being from another plane of existance, and tasked with anything. All you knew was that you were being asked to go on a journey with someone your character naturally trusted (foster father). There was complete mystery with only the feeling of urgency to motivate you at first. Even when the game showed you the ultimate Big Bad soon after your journey started, the Big Bag only seemed like some heavy armored man, with some henchmen for help, and not some late game interdimensional being riding on a sentient skyship! The game started the story off small with a enticing mystery and the motivation to either get revenge for the death of your forster father, or to gain enough power so you'd never fall victim like that again. Simple, at first. Hence the game had room to grow and slowly build into an epic adventure. Whenever a game starts off Already EPIC, it ends up burning too brightly too early and has nothing left with which to impress the player. It grows stale, and begins to rely to much on content bloat(repetitive fetch/gather quests, respawns, achievments, etc) over story to keep the player engaged. Anyway, just my thoughts on why I'm worried for this game. Cheers!
Very very cool, loved the lore tour. The bonfire background was perfect, like sitting around sipping scotch and talking bout squid heads! Appreciate all the hard work and long hours, hope you’re able to keep it up. Be well brother Craig

ceramorphosis takes time, I suspect this was used to give us a sense of urgency. It will feel like the clock is ticking. There are also ways to suppress the change before it's completed. I wonder if such spells and magic items will be in the game?
Astarion makes no sense lore wise. Also I thought undead couldn't be affected by ceremorphisis. Also his behavior pre mindflayer doesn't reflect that he was evil. Haven't played far enough in to grab his entire story, but I could be miss informed. Was he affected by an alignment changing spell? Other wise his character should have just been a dhampir and they could have dropped the twighlight theme.
I like how you were pronouncing all these difficult words with relative ease but you somehow pronounce "Amn" as "Aaam" instead of "ahhm" which is made funnier by the fact there are literally NPCs in baldurs gate 1 and 2 that literally say "for the glory of Amn" out loud when you interact with them

Your content is so good. But it feels like you start to talk too fast as soon as you get a couple of minutes into the video, too monotonous, no pause at all between sentences. I want to watch your stuff, but I'm exhausted after 6 minutes. Keep up the good work man. I think you're on the right track.
Haha thanks much man! I appreciate the feedback, I am always trying to improve on the way I present things and I will certainly keep your suggestions in mind! I typically try to get through a lot, and not waste people’s time but obviously that is not the best style for everyone. Maybe I can find a happy medium.

Don't be too afraid of length though, look at Luetin09, his most popular two Warhammer lore videos are longer than 3 hours combined with over 5 million views combined. So if the content is good and easy to listen to, people will give up their time for it.
Am I the only one annoyed at WoTC for milking the Baldur's Gate name? Now don't get me wrong I'm not pissed they're making a Baldur's Gate 3, I'm pissed that they're making another Baldur's Gate when there are so many other interesting locales in the forgotten realms I would like to see but apparently this is never gonna happen. I mean aside from Neverwinter I guess but then again it's the same problem.
What other lore topics would you guys like to learn more about?
