Richarlyson is beloved in Brazil. I've never seen anyone who hated him around here. He helps various social organizations across the country, invests financially in science at the best universities, encourages the population to get vaccinated, takes a stand against the deforestation of Brazilian forests, supports animal defense organizations and speaks out against topics that many do not like to talk about, such as racism and homophobia. It's been a while since we've had a player with so much prominence, humble, with a good heart and really concerned not only with charity, but also with the fight against social inequality. He's an out-of-the-box player. Not only a good player on the field, but a great human being off it.

The English love to hate. They are eternal pessimist. Though to be fair he doesn't play as consistent as he does in the national teams but that sounds more like bad coaching to me.
As a brazilian I can say that is so refreshing to have a player like him. It's been a while since we had a player so loved by everyone not just football fans. (No, not even Neymar) He's humble, down to earth, funny as hell, still acts like a non famous person, sometimes can be very shy, great personality, really good with kids, not stuck-up, first thing he did with his money was to buy a house for his grandparents, he has been donating 10% of his salary to an institute in Brazil that helps cancer patients with housing and food since 2017 and he only revealed that this year so he could encourage other people to do the same, he participated in vaccination campaigns, is very vocal against racism and homophobia, treat people with kindness even when he's tired, he got out of the bus to apologize and say thank you to a family of brazilians in Qatar after the elimination. If you think this is the bare minimum you would be surprised how a lot of more influential playres don't do half of those things. We love him a lot. He's someone "common people" can relate to. He brought back the same hope and excitement for the 6th title we had lost a while ago. We're all talking about how he's going to bring us the hexa in 2026 and we don't even know if he's going to be called up yet. If you "hate" him for for the way he plays, for his tricks with the ball, let me tell you this is what we call "joga bonito", the reason we got so exited to see Brazil play again is because he's bringing back the beauty of the brazilian style. If you think he's not "good enough" that's your opinion, but hate him? The fuck?
why the brazillian hate neymar? I want to know from a brazillian perspective. Here in Bangladesh we love every brazillian player. but specially neymar because his way of playing football is fun and makes us want to play football.
@@leonxus2701 He’s a really good player and we recognize that, but as I said he’s mostly loved by football fans (and not even all of them) because the general public can’t relate to him anymore. Some says the money went to his head and he’s too much of a playboy. It’s mostly on his personality than his skills. (We also don’t like CR7 for the same reasons while even if we’re direct rivals of Argentina we don’t dislike Messi because he do what he gotta do in the pitch and have a reserved personal life) Another reason is because he falls a lot, of course most of the time it’s not even his fault, he’s the obvious target after all, but sometimes he exaggerates, and people here hates that. From the very beginning he was always treated as the “golden boy” by the media, and because of that it seems like the national team became too dependent on him, so the pressure of playing without him strongly affects their strategies and performance in the game. I believe that’s why we lost 7x1 against Germany, they were NOT prepared for his injury. To us it became a weakness. So after his second world cup defeat people started to get frustrated seeing him receiving the same recognition as Pelé without bringing us any title. Guess it’s because we’re so used seeing Brazil win world cups almost consecutively so the expectations for him were really high, more than any other player from any country. And then recently he started supporting questionable people and participated in former president Bolsonaro’s (openly racist, homophobe, misogynist, anti-vaxx, facist, and the list goes on) campaign even when his government was a complete nightmare, almost killing 1M people during the pandemic, so the hatred just multiplied tenfolds from a big part of the population. So it’s basically show-off personality, simulations in the pitch, not meeting the expectations of a country obsessed with football and a fucked up choice of president. I personally like him and his skills, I think he has a golden heart just lack on his political opinions as the only thing I dislike about him is the last thing I mentioned, but even then I still defend him against attacks regarding his football abilities. And most of the brazilian squad has been almost a carbon copy of him for years so that’s why Richarlison is so loved by everyone right now, he’s someone we would gladly and genuinely root for.
@@leonxus2701 Politics... He supports the right wing former President. Brazilians also love to trash their own people. But Brazilians love to lick the boots of Foreigners. To me watch people rooting for Argentina is crazy. But they do. They’re sadomasochistic.
@@leonxus2701 as a Brazillian, I confirm that the hate upon Neymar is first because around 10y ago he was used to pretend being hit a lot to get faults and penaltys, instead of playing his 100%, the secondary motivation is only political, he not being a leftist just like our great media alignment, makes half of the country who is leftist hate him.
Richalison's mistreatment by English people pains me a lot. I remember while at Everton he was denied the chance to take a penalty bt after it was scored he joined his team mates to celebrate..such a humble boy from a very humble background. God will forever fight for him
Broo Richarlison is no joke apart from that beautiful bicycle kick goal he is sooo sooo much effective in a game . His runs are a major threat for the opposing team and his hunger to get the ball is something else broo what a player and what a beautiful nature he has got a true humble Brazilian star.
Richarlisson is one of the most amazing person within the football world. He left home to go on a trip for a football trial with no money to buy his bus ticket back; He has a football team in his home town, where kids may spend time after school; He has an institute for poor kids and he helps so many people who ask for all kind of help online. He is very humble and really deserves everything he has achieved.

I, an english citzen aged 16. Personally LOVE richalison. Even in tottenam it never changed my feelings towards him as a player even when the media was flaming him. I loved his showboating and freedom on the pitch in general. He didn’t care about the opinions of others and brought himself all the way up to the top through his own strength alone..all by himself. His performance in the world cup currently has been phenomenal and i hope he continues that through the rest of his career. And for that, he has always had my respect 🇧🇷!! 💯
the images of him getting emotional when talking to Ronaldo are heart warming. Taking him out of yesterday's game was a mistake, he could play as a second striker and leave Pedro as a forward

Richarlson. A true Lion rise to glory. A tale of strength and determination despite the despair and sadness. He will go all the way because he carries inside him all that he ever saw, all that he went through, all the negatives...and use it to explode.
This man has not a single bit of Ego in him. Such a talented player who's content with everything he gets doesn't ask too much. Even with money and fame he's not cocky or partying. Loved him since i saw him score a long ball goal with left foot in Everton.
Richarlison plays with his heart on his sleeve and I am so impressed with how hard he fights for club and country. Sure he has 2 goals for Tottenham in 15 matches but he's an absolute menace on the pitch and we need that. Also those 2 goals were critical in a stuttering CL match.
Great video, was unaware of a lot of the early life complications that make him even more awesome a guy. American Toffee currently living in Brazil. Have loved the guy since his arrival at Everton and still love him after his departure. So happy seeing him do so well in this WC, even if they left the party too early. Can't go on enough about the off the pitch good stuff - from improving his English by live interacting with Everton fans via twitter to random out of the blue responses to a Brazilian woman whose had lost her power and had no money to get it back or get food to feed her kids. Her/their hustle was selling ice cream ... Richy responded to her plea basically "DM me". Something like two hours later she posts pics of receipts for her groceries for food, ice cream to sell (and her power back on) thanks to O Pombo. Him with the flare. The face plant after DCL's stunner to keep the Blues up. Him sitting around with all the kids in his home town hoping/waiting to have the Selecao call his name... then it erupting when they did. EFC having to sell him to balance books was a gut punch, but will always root for the guy to do well for as long as in the prem. At least for 36 matches per campaign.
Argentine here. Richarlison is right for this world, knows how to banter and accept a call back, knows how to throw the flair modern football sorely lacks, knows how to be a rival on and off the pitch, plays with happiness and plays good football. We need this kind of footballers, especially if the two greats of the 2010s are gonna retire. He looks like the perfect Romario replacement in terms of personality, so he is pretty much welcomed. Also, there are players that performs better in NT than in club, in every single country, as well as the opposite being true. So not a huge surprise tbh haha. PS: I also loved this interview: th-cam.com/video/peGL0RD3mI8/w-d-xo.html He knows how to play the game outside the pitch, so huge props.
his personality is quite the opposite from romario, both in his life and in the field. while romario was arrogant, wanted everybody to play for him and did a lot of shit in his personal life, richarlison does a lot of charity work, fight with everything he has on the field and plays in any position he is put with the same love
Lol, he indeed could be compared to Romario in terms of ability and playfulness. Both are very funny players, with great sense of humour. The difference is Richarlison is humble and Romario arrogant

We love Richarlison in Argentina, didnt knew he was hated, amazing person, humble and funny, and his history is heartwarming, Richarlison deserves everything he have and more
I think Richarlisons goal contributions at club level do not reflect just how good he is at Tottenham. Always working, always trying to create something. He's someone you need to watch to know how good he is. And I think the main reason for his lack of goal contributions in Tottenham is that he was forced to play wide most of the time. If this world cup has shown us one thing, then that he should be the man up front with Kane playing a second striker/cam role where he sets Richarlison up. Throw in Son and Kulusevski and you have a front 4 that could do a lot of damage
he is absolutely an amazing player and a very humble person.his story is literally so touching and heartbreaking at the same time that if you learn about him you will feel the inspiration and the proud no one expected and yet he scored the winning goals at brazil's first match of 2022 world cup and not only that even tho unfortunately brazil had to exit just from the quarter final his goal was undoubtedly the tournament best .he struggled and proved himself through all his life i wish God is with him and he can win the next world cup 2026 with his childhood idol and show everyone that he is worth it
The beautiful football lives in Brazil and one of those people who play it, happens to be Richarlison. Its just sad that most of the Brazilian players get called off for show boating for simply having fun on the field...I mean you can clearly see that these men really enjoy what they're doing when they get the ball to their feet...and in Richarlizson's case... he's one of those kids who has fought for his life to get to this place and yet he still remains humble and has not forgotten his roots and he always wants to give something back. He's truly one of the most humble and down to earth players in today's football
I'm from England and I'm unaware of "hate" I'm aware of his diving and theatricals which have gone more quiet but you can understand any negative approach anyone has to that. But once the games ended no one "hates" him
Even before he pulled out that Cidade de Deus footage, I was thinking about how the stories almost overlapped, having watched it just 2 months ago. Never gave in to cheap and easy temptation! Richarlison, what a man! Inspirational!
Damn, I didn't know his story. As an Argentina fan I remember being happy they played Richarlison in the final because I didn't think he would score and it was great seeing him miss. He had a reputation of being inconsistent in his scoring, but this world cup made me see him in a more positive light. I didn't think it was a good idea to sub him out for Pedro, and I would have stayed with him instead
Richarlison isn't hated in the UK. He simply hasn't proved to be anything more than a prospect in the Premier league. With all due respect his goals for Brazil before the world cup, what is the quality of the defenders he was playing against? Olympics is not a real football tournament.
"Hated" is a big word, it really is just scrutiny over his actions on the football pitch, the diving, the play hurt from any little contact, the ball holding to delay a pen taker or a throw in, standing in front of a goalie or a freekick trying to play quick till he is fouled, the showboating without attempting to dribble just to taunt opponents, etc I'm a Liverpool fan and I only dislike his actions and BOO it, his tough childhood/past doesn't grant him the right to play in this ugly way (probably why Tottenham was his perfect destination, they love ugly football there)
I'm English and I absolutely adore this man, being able to fit in in a country like England isn't easy, especially since this guy is Brazilian and things are very different over there.
I love the guy and this is coming from a Liverpool supporter. I might be in the minority but richy is the man. I have no doubts he’ll use this loss to come back stronger and more resilient than ever.
Every culture has their own music and dancing. But not every culture does it every 5 minutes like idiots. And that's the whole point. Brazilians are childish and immature. When the adults think and act like little kids it's proof that their society is a failure.
@@avikellerman4539 We don't do it every 5 minutes, just after we win/score a goal. Eh? I'm from England, follow sports media religiously and I factually can tell you Richarlison is not hated. It is envy. Just because fans of a rival club have a dis-taste towards a certain player does not meant they 'hate' him. He embodies the qualities to be a professional footballer and most fans are simply jealous they dont have a player like him at their club.

As an Englishman and a Tottenham fan i'm going to tell you exactly how it is. We do not doubt his footballing skill. He is a very good technical player and we appreciate that. He is a very valued member of the squad. If we didn't rate him, Tottenham never would have bought him in the first place. IF there is any 'hatred' it stems from a perception of his diving, the way he talks to referees and actions on the pitch (such as taking the ball before a penalty and not allowing the established penalty taker to have the ball). It is about attitude, and some English people perceive him as having an attitude problem on the pitch (not off it). We see the same attitude problem with Neymar. Stop diving, stop acting like you are hurt when you get tackled, get up, have some pride in yourself. Refs should be booking people more often for acting hurt and diving.

well i think richarlison feel smore comfortablewith his team because they don't take his hyper attitudes as him being cocky or annoying but they rather find him confident and fun
I'm not very knowledgeable in football, but I've seen some people's answer to the question "why does Richarlison play much better in the national team" was that because in the national team he's playing alongside the best and most creative players on the planet, so he has room to be creative himself and create plays without the team depending exclusively on him; and that in the local clubs, Richarlison has to play with a bunch of cupboards.
Never heard of this man, I’m a solid Neymar fan, the first Brazil match, my nephew kept calling him “the eagle” so I knew the kids knew him but wow that scissor kick really shut everyone up & propelled him to the world stage
brazilian players deserve more love for their passionate game, although they don't produce as many goals as expected... they provide a component of beauty to the game that is irreplaceable; although this has been the problem with brazil for the last 5 world cups already, I think this year we truly lost a great beautiful team too early on in the tournament
He is very immature. In fact Brazil lost the World Cup due to having too many little boys in the the team. Richarlison, Antony, Vini Jr, Raphinha, Fred, etc.. they need to grow up and be men.

Dear Liz: This is a very good comment: Much appreciated.

And for that, he has always had my respect

Also an Englishman, agreed, I love him.
I enjoyed his show boating too ❤
the images of him getting emotional when talking to Ronaldo are heart warming.

He had a good run in the World Cup. Maybe Tottenham ruins players?
👏👏
He is a nice kid. I am not a Brazil fan but Ronaldinho back in the day and this kid are cool. This kid needs to be in Italy or Spain.

Throw in Son and Kulusevski and you have a front 4 that could do a lot of damage
he is absolutely an amazing player and a very humble person.his story is literally so touching and heartbreaking at the same time that if you learn about him you will feel the inspiration and the proud
no one expected and yet he scored the winning goals at brazil's first match of 2022 world cup and not only that even tho unfortunately brazil had to exit just from the quarter final his goal was undoubtedly the tournament best .he struggled and proved himself through all his life
i wish God is with him and he can win the next world cup 2026 with his childhood idol and show everyone that he is worth it
The beautiful football lives in Brazil and one of those people who play it, happens to be Richarlison.
I'm from England and I'm unaware of "hate"
I'm aware of his diving and theatricals which have gone more quiet but you can understand any negative approach anyone has to that.

You've not watched much footballer if he's in your top 5,who is your top 10,I need a good laugh 😂
"Hated" is a big word, it really is just scrutiny over his actions on the football pitch, the diving, the play hurt from any little contact, the ball holding to delay a pen taker or a throw in, standing in front of a goalie or a freekick trying to play quick till he is fouled, the showboating without attempting to dribble just to taunt opponents, etc
I'm a Liverpool fan and I only dislike his actions and BOO it, his tough childhood/past doesn't grant him the right to play in this ugly way (probably why Tottenham was his perfect destination, they love ugly football there)
Not hated by everton or tottenham fans tho. Love him to bits 💙

Dancing after a goal/win is not boasting, it has always been part of brazilian culture in Football.
Every culture has their own music and dancing. But not every culture does it every 5 minutes like idiots. And that's the whole point. Brazilians are childish and immature. When the adults think and act like little kids it's proof that their society is a failure.
