That's cos the smaller bands 2 of which are from.Liverpool it's got something tomdo.with the discriminated Liverpool and Belfast in world war 1 in the Somme they were together
What's the name of the loyalist song that has the same tune as The Wild Colonial Boy? I recognize the tune but I don't know what it's called in Ulster loyalist use.
Without much googling... I think "The Wild Colonial Boy" was the original anthem of the (mainly) protestant "Young Citizens Volunteers" of 1912. So I guess, it has the same lyrics, in particular as it has no Irish nationalist connotation. It is in fact Australian in origin.
I enjoyed this very much, but I have a question based upon my many years of being around martial bands, fife & drums corps, and never having seen this before. How did the tradition of bass drummers wandering freely from side-to-side, and beating so incredibly hard originate?
@@douglastaggart9360 don’t rule it out anything could happen .what I do know for 100% England is being taken over by Islam and Africans and so is Ireland .
With lodges and members in Africa and members from the indigenous American native people, along with lodges and members around the world,...... it renders your comment illogical, misinformed and ridiculous. 🙄 The Ancient Order of Hibernians...on the other hand.......states its members must be... White Roman Catholic Male and....with a family connection to Ireland........ Seems hypocrisy is a word you don't understand. It matters little anyway.....you're merely another Irish Republican parasite, with little better to do in your life, than troll loyalist/unionist/British vids in order to post vile, bigoted, hypocritical, misinformed, sectarian hatred. You're a sad case......as is the rest of your ilk.
Except for in Scotland whose history is intrisicantly linked to ours , these kind of marches are a unique and inherent part of our culture and a wonderful spectacle for anyone coming to visit our country . There is and always will be two cultures in Northern ireland but what people need to understand is that both cultures need to appreciate their own culture without despising the other !
Banning this " sectarian " nonsense would be totally counterproductive You do realise that , dont you ? stopping these marching and putting a halt on tradition will only serve to increase tensions . All hell would break loose !
