RIP Alhaji epo Akara. I remember The Ibadan group in Kumasi during the Ramadan period. Ibadan group led by Mr Razak sang like Epo Akara. There was Fuji boys mainly from Abeokuta and Lagos guys led by Mr. Sumaila baba mukeke. Mr Shadow led an Ogbomosho group, Brother Gani led another Ogbomosho while among the best group was led by Brother Shittu Shitta. Least I forget brther Bob Bolt. Were song was great in Kumasi by then. May bless all of us who are still alive and May Allah grant the dead one among us Fidaus, amen. Thank Allaah.
This is certainly an evergreen, it drew me to tears. Alhaji Dauda Epo Akara was my distant uncle, he lived about 3 building away from my Dad's house, he was accommodative and very calm person, he used to greet me cheerfully whenever I'm passing in front of his house. Adieu
