holy shit! how do you not have more recognition. This is one of the best snowmobile videos i have ever seen. Keep up the good work man and i love the editing!!
This is a scary situation. My 2023 Boost caught fire at 100 miles at the belt drive last season. Same kind of day. 30-40 in of fresh. It was a nightmare getting it out.
Gotta love these youtube content providers. The snowmachine is on fire, the two guys are frantically trying to put it out, and the third guy is running a video camera instead of helping....🤣🤣
I had an M7 catch fire due to worn through fuel line, we, with great haste I will say, packed a bunch of snow in around the engine compartment then dumped a bunch of water on it, it turned to slush and suffocated the fire. Saved my sled but had to replace the stator wiring harness
My 01 Yamaha srx AND my 2020 sidewinder both went up in flames. They would always overheat after an hour of Riding and i vowed to never waste my money on another Yamaha again. While my “98 xc 700 is sitting at 13,000 og miles and is still more reliable than the sidewinder that barley had 500.
What exactly caused this? Also how how long have you been riding terrain like this? Looks like a lot of fun but also hard on the sleds. Keep it up, love the mountain riding content.
Aftermarket exhaust without the proper heat shielding installed. The shop that installed it made it right. I’ve been riding for about 6 years now. Definitely hard on the sleds!
Funny. I had a 2018 I put a SLP exhaust kit on. It melted the pipe sensor wiring and plastics. Same thing super deep day full pin to go anywhere. No clamshell heat shielding on the pipe. Vents blocked with snow. I would never do a pipe again. Left me stranded and cost me a bunch of money to replace melted plastics. Had to tow it out. The mechanic that fixed mine said he just cut the pipe sensor wiring and it started running again. He said it would have limited power because it wouldn’t have the pipe sensor feedback but could have rode it out.

Camera was mounted to the top of my helmet. I was getting a shovel out and assembling it. 😇

You've gotta bring the big boy camera out again, the shots are awesome.
Will do!
Very Lucky getting that sled out on its own! The saddle/trail looks very familiar, Bos Road too China Cabin?
That’s the spot! It is “Bode’s Road” though.
After market pipe and can would that void the warranty?
Yeah skidoo wasn’t going to cover this, but the shop that installed the exhaust made it right.
Not bad for a IT Manager!
So did his warranty cover the damages with him having a full aftermarket exhaust?
The skidoo warranty did not, but the shop that installed the exhaust took full responsibility and made it right.

A lot of slip of the clutch probably from romping powder
@@pizzaforbreakfast4811 that would make sense actually 👍
