    I really do love this brother bro Hijab. I value his works and his struggles for Islam and people of this religion. I appreciate him being so nuanced in the field of Islam and religion especially during this time of ignorance and sectarian chest thumping. In a sense, he has become for all intents and purposes the flag bearer of Islam in the west. A brother nuanced enough in the many fields of knowledge and with the courage enough to stand at the forefront and joust with the detractors and enemies of Islam. He must be protected at all costs. May the most high give him more from his never ending bounty of blessing, grant him victory against his enemies, humilate those who try to hide and alter the truth and grant him God fearing progeny and grant Jannatul fridous. Amiin 🤲🏽

      you speak like you are knowledgeable but you are not; first hijab is not the spokesman of muslims and he is not convincing person zith his knozledge or as person
      second the word sectarianis, is wrong word coz the prophet said they will be 73 sects only one in jannah
      and said: One day Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) delivered us a very eloquent Khutbah on account of which eyes shed tears and hearts were full of tears. A man said: "O Prophet of Allah, this is as if it were a parting advice. So advise us". He (ﷺ) said, "I admonish you to fear Allah, to listen and obey even if an Abyssinian slave is appointed as your leader. Because whosoever among you shall live after me, will see much discord. So hold fast to my Sunnah and the examples of the Rightly- Guided Caliphs who will come after me. Adhere to them and hold to it fast. Beware of new things (in Deen) because every Bid'ah is a misguidance".
      there is only one group in the haq and its salafiya way of salaf

      @@djamelcher7959 Salifyya is much much much more nuanced then 1 hadith and what you attribute to it and yes, Hijab is a spokesman for Islam in the west especially in the intellectual sphere, its not debatable because hardly anyone else is or can debate against the leading voices in the west in a concise and complex manner, someone who understands different schools of philosophies. I didn't say he was leading the entire Unmah, but in the west? I mean absolutely and this fact is not up for debate.. its a fact. If you cannot show me others who are able to spar with these western intellectuals in their own arenas then your point is infact moot.

The most important right now is that we muslims keep it cool to the outside world and keep disagreements like holes in the narrative and satanic verses internally. So, do *_not_* talk about the holes in the standard narative or about the proofs that quran has not been perfectly preserved and also, do *_not_* talk about the three gods that muhammad praised while he was controlled by satan in the satanic verses in quran, we *_have_* to make it look like islam is a monotheist religion, not pagan. • @Umar_1994_

      I disagree, whilst himself is saying he's only 29 and making mistakes and will continue to, others younger than him who watch speakers corner videos, are calling him a 'lion' or in some manner of defender of the religion and elevating his status. If a person's role model is someone young and unpolished, they need to expand their scope. Whilst being fair to MH, he has scope to be very polished and beneficial to others.
      This comes from someone who used to listen to him a lot, and liked listening but there's an element of show, boasting and sometimes even arrogance to what I see now compared to 5 years ago... especially the way he handled his conversation with Shamsi in speakers corner in the 1h40+ minute conversation trying to belittle Shamsi because he couldn't respond to his questions and subsequently making video after video to prove he's right.
      I also think it's crazy someone like MH can sit there and say he disagrees with Ibn Taymiyyah on certain matters; there are levels to this and quite frankly, many should hold their tongues before commenting on such topics/scholars.

    • @SupremeJudgeDredd
      @SupremeJudgeDredd 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Umar_1994_ I wasn't suggesting he is flawless. And being much older than him and you, I still see him as a solid asset and a brother to be proud of. As for boasting etc, then this has been explained in the video. It's by design and for effect. Lastly, shamsi and the madkhali clique are an absolute disgrace. May Allaah guide them. Don't feel sorry for them and let that affect your judgement. You may be upset and disagree with me today, but I assure you that God willing you will come round and these very words will echo in your much wiser and older self/mind. I have nothing but love for you brothers. These are times we need more solidarity with one another. Our enemies are many. And hasad is real. I actually consider MH already quite polished in many ways, but rough in other ways. And we can't expect that he be a robot. He's from the streets of London like me and many others. We understand what effect that has on one's personality and that isn't to say that it is negative. We can't force everyone to conform to one fixed template. The sahaabah were very diverse. And again, as you get older, you too will realise that scholars were humans and they make errors. Even big ones. So many of them differed with each other on so many issues. They aren't all right. Sometimes X was right and other times X was wrong. We do not idolise men. And if you respect them, then they would not be proud that we would do this to them. You will appreciate this as your knowledge increases and your ilm matures and gets more detail and depth. It won't lead you to lose respect for scholars. Look how MH praised Ibn Taymiyah Rh. I interact with scholars in real life and you see they are geniuses maa shaa Allaah in some respects and in other matters, they are unfit. And that's only human. Sorry for the long post. I do hope you understand. Ma'assalaamah to you.

      @Siraj Haq Saying Abu Layth isn't a mufti is not a "strawman" lol, it's not even an argument it's just a statement, do you even know what a strawman argument is? Respond to their points if you truly want to defend him instead of comparing his critics to murtads like some butthurt fanboy

    • @marveldcmaaz
      @marveldcmaaz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Siraj Haq I never said he's not a mufti, I'm just saying that those who say he's not a mufti aren't making a strawman argument like you said. If you wanna defend him do it competently, is all I'm saying.. As for my opinion of what makes a mufti, it's irrelevant. Only knowledgeable people would be able to make that judgement based on the individuals education and qualifications, not a layman like me.

    • @marveldcmaaz
      @marveldcmaaz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @Siraj Haq well the issue is that you weren't being fair in your defense of Abu Layth by making the comparison to murtads. Anyways, more knowledgeable people than me have made quite a strong argument that he's misguided at the very least and at most, apostated. Now I'm not going to make a judgement on that myself as I'm not qualified in the least, I'm just saying that's what has been said about him, and if you want to make a case against that you're gonna have to do a much better job quite frankly

      While I agree with you I personally feel he could tone it down slightly. Because insulting an opponent in a debate can take away from the overall arguments he presented (MH I mean) plus also gives the other sides supporters ammo to use against him. Plus the general consensus within debates/arguments is once you start using insults you've lost the debate. Because it makes it seem like you can't beat them with facts/arguments alone if you get my point.

    • @SonGoku-io7sh
      @SonGoku-io7sh 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TylerTheObserver I understand what you're saying brother and I am also inclined to agree in some cases, perhaps because we have been raised watching relatively civil discussions. However I think as much as Br. Hijab has a conscious decision to make as to the tone of his arguments, it is also up to the listener to understand both sides of the argument.
      For instance the David Wood debate was at first glance a joke, if we only took Br. Hijabs character into consideration. However those who did, were mostly ignorant to the years of mockery, misinformation and outright deceit David Wood had been peddelling against Islam. The amount of people he negatively effected by his TH-cam antics and since 9/11, could not have been addressed with a civil dialogue. I myself was witness to the fact of how bad it was on any Islamic related videos that were posted, being over run with disgusting comments against the honour of the Prophet SAWS and other things dear to Muslims. The depiction of Muslims in the media were largely a free for all for haters of Islam.
      David Wood was indeed a snake who deserved no respect and it was up to us as listeners, to understand this.
      Much the same as when Palestinians are portrayed as yelping, stone throwing terrorists in the media, it is up to us to understand the greater context of what is going on, so we can come to an informed decision and apply context to a situation.
      Therefore I believe Br. Hijabs character to be a necessary part of his discussions with certain people and it is an evolution of the discussions of the past, to set the context of who exactly we are dealing with.
