Yeah I’m on board with what he’s doing. Accumulate talent instead of the popular names. Quantity will almost always beat out the popular names come rounds 2-3+
Trey Benson was a huge get. The last corner we took was a huge get. Wasn't stoked about taking Melton over some of those other top corners right there. Not sure about the TE we drafted.
@@aaronaldana9012Isaiah adams and Tip both coulda been later picks. Beebe Cooper had everything Isaiah does with better hands and production for a guard. Tip was also a 4th round guy since he has trouble catching the ball but is a freak athlete.
@theoc007 Beebe isn't a good of an athlete or pull blocker as Adams. Adams isn't as good a pass blocker as Beebe or Haynes or Puni, but could be a better run blocker than all. Monti knew what he wanted.
@@theoc007Tipmis an end line blocker that will get opportunities to catch as well. Cardinals top 3 in rushing again next year with the ability to stretch the field 💪.
Could’ve drafted a consensus top 5 CB in the draft but instead they trade down to 43, miss out on Cooper and Kool Aid, and draft a guy who is a sleeper and ranked around #10 for CB’s in the draft. So again have to wonder more if their corners will be good enough. Should’ve just taken one of the best available at 35. The Eagles were able to get 2 of the top 5 corners in the draft because of that too.
I think they had there eyes on the Rutgers db Tested well and is physical. Got another 3rd which should be another starter. I like you thought they would pick kool aid or cooper but it’s not a bad move .
For the TE just remember everyone was saying the same thing about Trey Mcbride when he was drafted. That we already had TEs why are ee vettong him. It was a reach etc.
Mack Wilson was a big signing in FA. Tip will be great in run blocking schemes so we can let McBride rest for passing plays and not risk him getting injured.
Thought they did alright. I kinda wish they were going to grab either that big center from Oregon at #35 or Cooper. But I think Melton will do well. I think they know what they're looking for and spent way more time watching tape and watching these picks in person.. Over all I think we've had a great draft so far.
Losers Arizona Cardinals Monti Ossenfort and Co. held seven picks in the top 90, marking the highest total for any team since the Cowboys' 1991 class. Why, then, does it feel as though the Cardinals came away with so few building blocks? Florida State running back Trey Benson might be somewhat of a luxury given the presence of James Conner. Tight end is one of the few secure spots on this roster thanks to breakout target Trey McBride, but that didn't stop the Cardinals from nabbing Illinois' Tip Reiman, whose most notable football-related achievement to date is convincing people at the NFL scouting combine that he doesn't think birds are real. While Marvin Harrison Jr. should elevate the aerial attack in short order, the roster still seems like it's lagging beyond the rest of the NFL - and at a time when it could have undergone a full relaunch.
Arizona need a NFL sized QB that isn’t fragile like Karl Murphy. KM is just too tiny and breakable to lead a team or even make it to the playoffs as we have seen with Pee Wee 2.0 trying to see over the defensive line. Every play being a backyard scramble play is not a game plan week in and week out or sustainable. Karl gets hit and fold like a cheap lawn chair. He’s just too petit and fragile. He lives on the side arm throw because he cannot see over full sized elite NFL players. He may have been good in college, but not now in the BIG LEAGUES. Arizona Cardinals need to fire head coach and managers making these poor decisions. Move Short Stack Murphy out so the offense can thrive with the new acquisitions.
Give a year, but from what I saw he played pretty great coming back so I have no idea how any of what you said is relevant. No reason to waste draft picks on a QB if all the QBs are taken so fast this year.
Monti knows what he's doing. The Cards are gathering players who fit the culture of the team. That's awesome.

That TE would have been there in the 6th round... and Beebe is going to be a better guard than Adams
I love all the "Couch GM" comments, in this thread. From where we were with SK, Monti is a HUGE upgrade!
Only time will tell...
THANKS FOR THE QUESTIONS!
We heard you loud and clear last time! Always looking to be better.
Just got to trust in the process
Honestly think we did horrible yesterday. Was so excited and we took guys at spots that we could have waited til next round..
We didn't

So just for day 3 keep an eye on guys that played in the senior bowl

I hope u guys know what you’re doing with those 3rd round picks.

Still a better day than Suns
My problem is with Tip. Our linbacking core is the weakest in the league & we have a really good TE. Melton & Benson are ballers tho

Rough day man...
Not really
