    That’s why the Grammy’s have to have a reggae category and a dancehall category because dancehall derives from reggae but it’s 2 different categories! Even soca! All Caribbean genres aren’t = Reggae 🙌🏽 We need to start there

    • @MRLONG758
      @MRLONG758 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Word. Soca probably needs to get a bit bigger globally before it gets its own category at the grammys. I mean afrobeats don't even have its own category and it's massive.

    • @z-taagy8530
      @z-taagy8530 2 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@MRLONG758 but then Afro beats should have it’s own category, regardless of how global something is, it should be respected because it inspired a lot of songs that are nominated in pop and rnb categories. Regardless the Grammy needs to do better with inclusivity and representation in the academy itself. Period. Caribbean and African music has shaped the music industry, it deserves that respect🙌🏽

    As an underground artist with a small audience, Sean is the type of success story that inspires me. It's been inspiring to see how he's grown in his abilities and steadily exploded after embracing every chance he's been given! With good reason, Mans has swiftly become a hallmark in the music business. I know that if I work hard enough, I can eventually reach a wider audience, but for now, I'm satisfied as a supporter. It'll be my time next. Much respect Sean🔥

    Ma brotha, good to hear from you. Been listening to you since I was a kid sleeping above my family’s bar in the jungles of Belize. You gave me light when so little was given at the time and with that all I can say is thank you for the art you’ve left us and big up to you and your family. It would be a dream to vibe with ya in an island and make a beat for all the carnivals world wide.

    The interview was really nice; I enjoyed listening to Sean Paul. The older he becomes his street lingo is really becoming more and more cool. I thought of Marley throughout the entire interview because Sean is like one of Marley Jamaican Raggae brothers bringing Jamaican Raggae music to the world. Bob Marley is a Jamaican Raggae Superstar⭐️Marley is the King👑 of Raggae even in death; that’s how hard he was. Bob Marley is the Jimi Hendrix of Jamaica. Bob Marley made Jamaica known for Raggae music. Bob Marley looks, his hip and sophisticated Jamaican lingo captivated the world.🔥🇯🇲🦁

    YAAASSSS!!! Sean Paul still looking good and sounding like he did 20 years ago! 🤩🤗 If Angela was not here to assist in these caribbean artists interviews, they would all be trash... smh Charlamagne gots to do better with maybe researching some of his "questions" before speaking the first thought tht comes to his mind. He really be showing his lack of knowledge and just laziness in not doing ANY research about an artist he may not be as familiar with. And unfortunately that is mainly caribbean or Afro artists. We all know Envy usually sticks to his same "politically correct" questions tht he tends to ask EVERY guest... lol... But Angela usually be in the "know", especially when caribbean artists come and I truly appreciate her for tht! 🥰🙌🏾
