@@crxzm Microsoft bought Mojang in 2014. Minecraft for New Nintendo 3DS came out in 2017. Specifically September and the 3DS was already practically in its deathbed with the Switch being launched months beforehand. And just in general the 3DS edition not being the greatest. A Physical Copy of Minecraft for the New Nintendo 3DS will run you around $50 - $60 which isn't worth it at all.

Was a PS3 kid. Seeing you open that up brought me this just massive wave of tears and nostalgia. My birthday was 2 days before the release of the physical edition of the game, and I had asked for a pre-order for my birthday. My grandma being the absolute legend she is somehow was able to find an early copy.
I… I miss that time. I miss the memories of opening a brand new physical game, one I had waited ages to finally get. I miss when I didn’t have access to online storefronts, and finding out about a brand new game was a major event.
I miss going to family gatherings, finding about a new update coming out, and lugging my console over to a friends to borrow their internet. I miss finally getting internet and getting a new perspective on the game. I miss watching Minecraft TH-camrs for the first time. I miss the friends I made on battle mode, god I miss them more than anything.
I miss you Minecraft. We’ve drifted apart in many ways over the years, and where you are now is a shell of your former glory, but i’ll never forget how you’ve shaped my life.
Thank you 4J Studios for Minecraft Console Edition. Thank you Mojang for making it happen in the first place. Thank you both for it all.

I got this version of the game when i was like 7 years old on my PS3 in autumn 2014, oh boy did i have fun when i had my 2 other friends to come by my house and we played in splitscreen on multiple survival worlds, all of which go wrong. Years go on and we all moved our separate ways, and the only world i still got was the creative world we were trying to create a sky city.

You also got Nintendo Switch minecraft wrong. Legacy Edition for the Nintendo Switch was released in 2017 as a digital copy and taken offsale mid 2018, the Bedrock edition replaced it later in 2018 but did have a physical copy unlike Legacy Edition. Makes 2 Minecrafts you have missed!

If u get ps 4 edition you can downgrade it to 1.12 so u can play mini games for free splitscreen

The Xbox 360 version will always be my favourite version with Java coming in at 2nd. I remember being so hyped for the 360 version as I didn’t have a good PC as a kid. I remember buying it in the first week it released when it had no hunger bars and the OG tutorial map

I remember finding out about the 360 version when i went to my local video game store. I saved some money throughout the week, bought the game and when i came back home, i played literally all day until like 12 am

just seeing the first photo on Minecraft caset brought so much nostalgia ... it reminds me of early days when i played Minecraft and did not just rushed beating the game....now a days there is more of a competition being quick in Minecraft and people have forgot that chill feeling while playing Minecraft, building and advancing slowly and slowly.

but the real fun is riding on a horse with a dia armor set with prot 1, prot 2 enchants from an enchanting table, so fun man
What’s crazy is I owned nearly all Minecraft Classics except for the Xbox One and Nintendo versions. It’s crazy seeing all the cases, brings back memories. Gotta say my favourite is the first one.

Minecraft story mode has touched my heart, and I will always love that game, the story of Jesse and petra was amazing and I hope there will be a season 3 in the future

Sadly S3 will never come. Its because the creator telltale games became bankrupt. And gave most of there games to netflix and Story Mode is included.

As an xbox 360 kid, I remember me and my siblings shopping around the mall, and we saw a GameStop. Me and my sibling all begged for just 1 game for each of us, and my Kim being the queen she is, she begrudgingly let us pick.
I think that one of my sibling got oblivion and then another got wipeout (like the show total wipeout but they made a game) but my eye was caught on Minecraft. I picked it up, gave it to my mom and we went home.
As you opened the Xbox 360 copy, I couldn’t help but remember the day I opened that copy of Minecraft, how I struggled to get the plastic coating off, and the euphoric smell of a game case you opened for the first time.
Anyways nice video and also the tutorial was really good
I really miss the legacy versions, had so many fond memories on the 360. I remember playing constantly with my friends on split screen, of course it could be a bit annoying because of how tiny everyone’s screens were, but still fun.
I only wish bedrock could’ve been similar.
And I wish it had tut worlds and the old mash-up packs and the minigame triad.

All ya'll are getting nostalgic for the Xbox 360 or PS3 versions of the games but the Wii U version is what broke me down to tears. That was the first one I owned and the amount of memories I had from that is just too many to count.

I feel like the Xbox 360 edition of Minecraft is super nostalgic not only cause of the feeling and the music but also because of how everything looks. It looked like it was meant to be a 360 game and going back makes you realize just how far we've really come

I remember in 2014 when I got back from my oldest brother's graduation in California and my younger brother wanted to stop by Walmart to get Minecraft on the Xbox 360. During that time he was desperate to get it and that year was the first time to play Minecraft
seeing the wii u version of the game and remembering all the memories of me playing it on my wii u with my mom and my aunt. Great times when i was really young.
Fun fact with the PlayStation 3 variant of Minecraft there was a generation bug where the Minecraft villager Wells would spawn, except no village would be present nearby
The 2012 Xbox 360 edition was the first minecraft I ever played. It started a whole infatuation.
There are 2 versions of minecraft for the Nintendo Switch. "Minecraft: Nintendo Swith Edition" the legacy console edition of the game, and "Minecraft" for Nintendo switch the Bedrock Version. Both were released VERY CLOSE together, but the legacy console edition was discontinued quickly after it released

Damn, after seeing it in action from a friend of mine, the PSVita version managed to become a system seller for young me. I literally just had that game on it. And I'm so glad I bought the console due to its recently discovered modding potential.
I also only had Minecraft on mi vita, damn too bad I sold it in 2019 when it was a “dying” console :/

Fun Fact: Minecraft PS4 Edition was the last console/legacy version of Minecraft to be updated.
Jokes on you it isn't on April 15, 2020 there was an update for the PS3 and the PS Vita. and before that it as December 3, 2019 For the Xbox One. They both were updates that removed the free upgrade to Minecraft Bedrock and minor bug fixes.

PS3 edition was my childhood. I remember going on all the texture worlds and just playing because they looked different and cool. LBP3 pack was so amazing, those were the years!

I’m the rare kind of person who had the ps3 and og nintendo switch editions of minecraft. Both were amazing! I miss when you could trial every dlc (no minecoins), play multiplayer online without realms.

In ps3 version i played a lot that weird arena gamemode which was not bad at all, i still remember teaming with someone who had my same skin and then doing a final combat to win, we actually kept talking and playing until i got robbed, yeah i didnt update to ps4, they literally stole my ps3

I remember playing the minigames on the PS4 minecraft one and those used to be so fun. Playing split screen with my brother waiting until he turns the corner or tries to get me. Fun times back then.

You really should've used the 1.0 Versions of each physical game, as that has the most variation and makes the most sense for showing the release date. Otherwise the only difference in the legacy console versions would be the PS4 version, due to it getting the 1.14 update, as well as maybe 1 or 2 other legacy console editions.
Some of them can't get the update like the PSVita, Xbox 360 and PS3

I’m old I remember my first Minecraft experience was the beta version back in 2012. I was 19 years old and most people didn’t know what Minecraft was. It was new, magical, and something nobody had ever seen before. I didn’t think of it as a kid game at the time.
Well, Minecraft suitable for age 7 and up. I play it with my family including my mom. She's surprised because when she was 19 she was playing super Mario world on her SNES back in the day.

In my opinion the old Minecraft minigames stuff and little hunger war things are worth $1000, and I’d would totally buy it. I had so many fun memory playing it with my brothers and just messing around on that. So much nostalgia.

The version of Minecraft for the Switch you unboxed was released in 2018. The version released in 2017 had box art similar to the one found on PS4 and Xbox One edition. It was called Nintendo Switch Edition, not just Minecraft.
Sadly, the minecraft vr for PlayStation is a lot different than the usual minecraft vr. It doesn’t detect motion controllers so you can just look in the direction to choose the direction you want to move in then use the regular controller to move.
to people who didn't grow up mining diamonds on a saturday evening on either the early playstation editions or the xbox 360 edition, you did not have a childhood.

Correction, that Nintendo switch one is not from 2017. Minecraft Nintendo Switch Edition, which released in 2017, isn’t even in this video. It was taken off of the Nintendo eShop in 2018 when the one you showcased in this video (bedrock edition, formerly windows 10 edition / pocket edition) replaced it, however you can still play it if you had it, or if you have the game card
