As to Meghan's father, while we love our children, there comes a time when they have strayed so far from what is right, that you just have to let them go their way and go on with your life. As a parent, I can understand his reluctance to let it go. She's his daughter, no matter how much of an ungrateful hypocrite she is. It's partially his fault for raising her that way, & treating her like a pampered princess. From what I gathered, he spoiled her rotten & she could do no wrong in his eyes. He constructed a make believe bubble, in which SHE was better than everyone else. There IS such a thing as too much love.
I would give up my life for my kids I a heartbeat, but I don't feed them delusions. I correct them when they need to face reality, & teach them to RESPECT & appreciate others. I work my ass off to give my children a stable life. So they don't lack what I did in my childhood. But I humble them, & teach them to appreciate everything they are privileged enough to have.

So M went to live with her Father - who worked v long hours (ergo Samantha & Thomas Jr looked after her & doted on her - driving her to endless dance & other classes - to school & back & more)
