I love this trend. I think it's a great way to introduce people to various kinds of movies without them being basic or the same over and over. Also, as of 11/29/24, Death Becomes Her is free to watch on TH-cam with ads.
Your Criterion Closet video was great, was my gateway to your channel. My gf isn’t a film nerd like me so I’ll be coming here for my outlet 😆 Appreciate you!
As soon as i saw Ellen Berrent (Leave her to heaven) in the thumbnail, i instantly clicked and then when i heard your intro and heard you speak i instantly subscribed! Excellent movie taste
Girl! 🤩Leave Her to Heaven *and* Death Becomes Her in one video? I need this energy from a friend IRL. Big time favorites of mine for years. (I also made a collage one time of deadly and/or depressed female characters in movies I love and Ellen was on there; also had Mona from Vagabond, Delphine from The Green Ray, Laurie from Gun Crazy, May from....May, and Iris from Match Factory Girl). You said to list mine in the comments so I'll take a crack at it: Lust: Cat People (Purists will kill me but the 80s one from Paul Schrader I mean, which ramps up the sexuality by a million) Gluttony: Tampopo (Duh) Greed: Treasure of the Sierra Madre (This is THE final word on it in any movie in my opinion, never has a movie been so about something as this movie is about greed) Sloth: Dazed and Confused (Can't think of a movie where characters DO less and love every moment of it) Wrath: Cape Fear (The original this time, Mitchum's quiet rage that explodes at first only when he does something off screen is magnetic) Envy: Amadeus (May have been wrong in the greed section....*this* is the movie to end all others about envy, holy smokes) Pride: Death Becomes Her (I can't cheat?....fine) Pride: The Emperor's New Groove (Heh, hard as I tried, and I really did try, I couldn't think of a movie character who loves themselves more) All that being said, subscribed!
First of all, you have very good taste in movies *chefs kiss* I just added a bunch of movies to my watchlist. And omg your list is so good 😍💖 also Kuzco is really that narcissistic b*tch 😆
@@gimmepuffsleeves Thank you! I'm used to people's eyes glazing over when I talk movies IRL so finding like-minded people online is always a treat. Feel free to come back if one especially stands out! I love recommending. Your list was awesome too, La Dolce Vita. 😊 I still have to see The Menu but rich people suck movies are always worth the price of admission.

Yes, there are so many ways to interpret the theme too. Also I'm about to rewatch Death Becomes Her before I watch it on Broadway!
I managed to find Captives, watched it and loved it!

Fantastic list!! I tell ppl about Soylent Green all the time but it’s weirdly hard to get a hold of.
Will be checking out the films I don’t know. 🖤
Lust=Legends of the Fall
Gluttony=The Whale
Greed=I Care a Lot
Sloth=Grey Gardens
Wrath=Misery
Envy=Talented Mr Ripley

I really love Leave Her to Heaven, the greatest film noir in technicolor!
It's so damn good!
Since you like Female Rage. Can we get a video about It? And maybe some recommendations 👉👈
