Hard enough to signal most beginners that they're supposed to lose but not outright impossible so experienced card game enjoyers can beat it.

@@mauvemus5810 It doesn't sound that stupid, since it describes a very real thing that's been around in video games forever. I remember one of the first video games I ever played (Mega Man X2?) started out with a beatable scripted loss.
That said, it's really hard to weave scripted losses into strategy games in a way that would be beatable. The main narrative purpose of a scripted loss is to give players a benchmark for how weak they are at the beginning of the game. A strategy game is unlikely to have enough player agency to take an overwhelming loss and turn it into a win.

@@DragonMagiccircle t's definitely meant to be a hard fight, not near unwinnable. they have different voice lines for if you win or lose, so definitely not scripted.

you should do a video about slice n' dice. one of my buddies bought the game for us and weve both fallen in love. its an absolutely amazing dice-based strategy roguelike. its kind of similar to slay the spire, but overall the game is really unique and amazing. it hurts me to see the game not get the press it deserves because its easily become one of my favorite roguelikes of all time
edit: if you do decide to check out the game, at least wait until you unlock mana based classes to give up on it. i unlocked them on my very first run, so you shouldnt have to play too long before you do. they add a whole stunning new layer to the game and its what really kicked the game up to an 11/10 for me

I like that it's a bit more clear that this is sponsored compared to the mech video, youtube isn't giving me the "contains sponsored content" pop-up on specifically these two videos, not sure why.
the creator of the video needs to hit a check that the vid includes paid promotion, Google (aka youtube) requires that you do so, so kind of weird he doesnt

This game looks really good in terms of mechanics, I love that the first battle is actually tough so the dialogue makes sense.

It seems to me like, after the enemies attack, your front mystling attacks and the other two activate.

I have noticed this channel kind of ebs and flows, sometimes it focuses on a single series for a while, sometimes random offshoots, and sometimes a lot of sponsored videos.

What is with all those games using cards hand as a main combat mechanics? I never understood the appeal, it worked reasonably well for Slay the Spire, but in most other games it feels like completely arbitrary decision, which usually really stands out - almost never there is any reason in the game world for cards, energy counter, etc to exist, ao they really break the flow for me.

@@Aliensrock the thing about sponsored game is that most of the time the youtuber only play it once after saying a lot of good things about the game, if you at least play again then its not that bad, thats why i only watch those videos with sponsor after some good time or when i dont have a lot more to watch
Yeah it's a sorta interesting game, almost just a collection of tropes, but it's not bad. it's a little annoying cause it's got the cliche art style of mobile ads. also it's hard to tell when he's pretending to enjoy it or not. It's not really something to hold against tyler though it's not a shameless game to promote. It still looks like developers cared about it
