      Kreissäge = Circular saw. It’s pronounced Krice(like ice) zege. That’s pretty close anyhow. Notice the illustration of the cat with the saw blade?
      He could have tried a little harder to pronounce it better/correctly. After all it’s a German brand, should have been his first clue.

    Currently selling one of these because im switching to gravel. Its really hard to compare this bike to anything else really. The main selling point for me was the aesthetic. Standert is the ONLY brand in europe that consistently puts out the most gorgeous bike colors. Most of us arent racers so having a bike thats beautiful with very nice decals is in my eyes better than having an ugly bike thats faster. Its sort of like having a restomod Porsche: overpriced, kinda slow but at the same time you love to ride it because the beauty of it motivates you to ride it more. Lovely bike, if i have enough money down the line to own two bikes, I would happily buy another Kreissage just because it isnt always about having the best spec or fastest bike, sometimes you just want to own something beautiful.

    I have a "scandium frame " Kona Major Jake from way back in 2008 . Still ride it but l believe "scandium " was more of a marketing ploy than anything else re. ride quality , frame strength etc. Scandium is extremely expensive . The Kona is essentially an aluminum frame with a very small amount of scandium "magic powder " tossed in the mix . I would guess the bike reviewed is likewise an aluminum frame bike with a tiny percentage of scandium in the alloy to justify the very expensive frame price . The thing with all these "boutique" companies selling off the shelf metal frames for me is: Why would I pay that kind of money when I could literally have a custom frame built to my personal specs made from the same material for the same money or less? At least in my area there's plenty of framebuilders. And you get a custom paintjob in literally any color. If you want a Dedacciai aluminium frame, there's also loads of guys in Italy who happily build one for you. But I guess some people just want the brand and image. Don't get me wrong, though. I like what Standert are doing.

      @l.d.t.6327 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      you clearly aren't talking based on either knowledge or experience. Everything you just said is utter BS. Frame is about the same price as competition and it's made in Italy. So both of your arguments are seriously flawed. Still I wouldn't buy any alloy racing bike and for sure not an alloy gravel bike. Either steel or carbon.

    • @sebastianm2381
      @sebastianm2381 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Exactly. I never said it wasn’t made in Italy. I never said that Standert was more expensive than the competition. I’m just saying that for that kind of money, I could just go to those very framebuilders and have a custom frame built the way I like it. Which is what I did. Antonio Taverna in Padua will happily build you a frame from Deda tubing - steel or aluminium. Not the exact same tubes maybe as those seem to be custom made for Standert. And don’t get me wrong: It’s cool that brands like these still do metal frames.

  • @Mengina

    I would relook at the geometry if I were you.. It's more aggressive than 99.9% of the racing bikes the market. The angles are steeper than the Allez Sprint, Cannondale CAAD12, 13, Factor Ostro VAM, Tarmac SL8, Colnago V4Rs... The Chainstain and wheelbase are equal or shorter...

    I have one and love it. Not the discy one - rim brake. Weighs 8kg exact with pedals & 50mm carbon wheels alu bars, stem, post & 10 speed mechanical ( which i had spare from years back) it cost 3000 euro total ( but the gruppo was no cost). I look at frame price as build to my spec. Allez sprint frames are more expensive. And disc only. So the kreissäge ( however it is pronounced) is a great option for those of us who still like mechanical rim brake bikes and also want an alu frame

    Dont bully the berlin hippsters so much.
    Personally i dont understand why anyone would pay for this when there is a boatload of older frames out there that have often similar or superior craftmanship.

      Its because you only get +500 Aura by stopping by a café in Berlin in your PNS with your Standert paying 8€ for a coffee with oatmilk.

    Not really sure what most of those words mean as I pride myself on being properly educated. As an older rider in my 50’s I like the looks a lot with the exception of that cat decal.

    The 'funny' bits were painful and it compelled me to stop watching a review I was kind of interested in.
    Humour is a spice that when applied too liberally, wastes the meal. And in this case any meals near it, or in the same building.
