Slovenia played its best game in these 2 years, particularly the setter. In the past, his sets were rather unstable, sometimes too high, other times too close to the net. last night, he kept the level of play at a high level and maintained that consistency. Another advantage is that Slovenia has a great opposite Stern.
Congrats to both teams, for they gave a wonderful performance

I couldn’t imagine Slovenia who almost swept the elimination rounds losing the quarterfinals to Argentina who almost didn’t make it to top8. Congratulations to both teams for playing your best volleyball of the season. Thanks!

De Cecco and Giannelli are so much better than Christenson, but Christenson gets so much feature from Volleyball world. De Cecco is an underrated setter, getting the best setter award at the Tokyo Olympics deserves more recognition and attention.
De Cecco has been one of the best setters over the years. Giannelli is insanely talented as well. Christenson is featured more often due to the fact that team USA has one of the most stacked teams (disregarding their performance this VNL)
@@ryanwong4621 Christenson is an overrated player. Didn't even make it out of pool play in Tokyo, didn't even medal in the last world championship. His fan base is big but haven't really achieved anything huge since getting bronze at the 2018 WCH

I counted on Argentina they have played the best match in this year.. there was a lack of luck and concentration in the 4th and 5th set.

Unfortunate...But Slovenia wanted this more, great game until the end, Argentina's mentality needs to improve, they lost the game after loosing the long 4th set, they should have come psychologically prepared to start a new game with new opportunities and forget about the previous one. Sometimes teams and coaches underestimate how important psychology is for the high performance athletes...

Off topic but the difference in ideologies between Japan and other teams is so obvious. Every other team will have these comical moments where the attackers don't know what to do because setting up to a play is more important than simply receiving the ball whereas every player in japan would gladly receive the ball and don't care about not being ready for attack since not letting the ball fall is higher priority always

It's a neccesity for Japan and for Argentina. They play very similar volley, actually. Defensive, because of their lack of physical conditions.
