I want to thank you immensely for making these videos! I believe this is the weakest area of my fishing but thanks to you I'm starting to feel more mentally equipped when I'm planning my fishing ventures. Your other videos on reading beaches has helped me dramatically in finding fish as well. Many times when I went fishing this past spring I was the only one catching fish among other fishermen. I'm certainly not saying this to sound cocky or put down other fisherman. What I am saying is that I'm learning the good fishing spots around my area and fishing them more thoroughly. Being able to identify sandbars, cuts, and especially holes along the open beaches by me has paid huge dividends. So once again I truly appreciate the time and effort you put into making these extremely educational and enjoyable videos.
Thank you for the kind words Anthony. As I'm fond of saying, rods and reels don't catch fish, knowledge does. So I try to make videos that provoke thought, get people thinking about what they are actually doing, frameworks to build their own knowledge base on. Thanks for watching!
Thank you Rich for the effort, always appreciated. Should have paid more attention to the wind when i last went to Pea Island, OBX!
Hi David and thanks for watching. Yeah, I'm learning a whole new area since I've moved here so I get to practice what I preach lol. Wind seems to far more important to redfish on the beach down here than it is to Stripers up north. So I just keep sucking up as much info as I can, filtering and digesting it, and then dialing in from there. There is a method to the madness LOL.
Awesome video rich I had trouble reading the open water yesterday it was low tide it was to the second bar but I got to see some cuts that where fishable in high tide but what you said no fish is worth our life your right yesterday I went to a place in South Padre island it's called the EAST CUT I fell through the rocks nothing bad happped just a couple of scratches but said screw this took off to fish the cut but since I went with my kids had to leave early o well next time . Awesome video now I know .. 5 steps .
Thanks for watching Tony. It's not always easy to read water because wind and tide can mess with what you see. Best conditions for reading beachfront is incoming tide and onshore breeze. If you're going to fish rocks, get yourself some strap-on korkers, or some other studded footwear. To easy to slip and fall on wet rocks without them. Be well.
richtroxler believe me buddy I'm getting them this weekend I'm not gonna do that I always hated the rocks don't trust them or anyone . BUT I LOVE SURF FISHING .. but gotta learn right .
thx millions for sharing ur knowlege..a life time of gathering information.
Thanks for watching Michael. I'm happy to be able pay a little something forward.

Unfortunately, was out of commission again for a while, so for now I'm just trying to get caught up on responding to everyone and trying to finish up on some new content and other stuff. Thanks for hanging in there with me and I'll get this thing going again.
There is a lot of knowledge and science facts in your videos..I thought fishing is just a hobby and you should buy a good quality equipement, rod nd reel and start catching fish..hell nooo..this is what fishing is about..knowledge..strategies and good ideaas
Sorry for the late reply. Yes, not as easy as it looks. We never stop learning and discovering new things. Then again, that's what makes it so much fun. Thanks for watching!
