great racing at long eaton loved the place apart from working under cars in the mud that was the normal state of the pits
Proper track and fence......sadly missed.

Barbers equipment was worn out and antiquated 30 years before this. He never watered the track properly. Contrast with Coventry which was properly run

Was a bit bumpy. Don’t think the modern cars would work on that surface. The sport still had character then. Sensible car costs and big crowds.
