This video was extremely helpful! I just finished my first semester of 1L year and I never thought of making an attack outline in addition to my regular outline. I love your channel and thanks again for the great advice! Keep shining queens!!!
This is the best one so far that I found online, even the LAWYERs/Attorneys, the EDUCATORS of LAW SCHHOL on you tube just did not keep IT real life as this is. To see the sample of the outline. A lot of them folks on you tube just talk too dam much talking and never get to the point THIS IS TO THE POINT. Thank you
I was sent to your channel from @Leah'sLegalLife and I am SO GLAD!! Sam, I ADORE how organized your outline and attack is. My soul is literally beaming from watching this video.
Loved this video! Yall are an inspiration! I know you can't share your exact outlines and attack outlines, but could you provide a template on how you structured yours? Or do a more in depth video on outlines/attack outlines? Thanks!
One day can you do a video on how to outline I think I’m going to try this next semester so I can learn how to do it. I’ve always been a paper and pencil note taker but I think it would be more convenient and organized if I started taking notes online
Thank you so much Angel & Sam for your response and post of this video. I find your videos extremely helpful as I proceed on my quest in applying to law school. Thank you for taking time out to help others.
Thank you so much for sharing this information! I remember seeing this video when you first published it, but at the time I didn't need it, but now, I am on my second day of law school! You're so inspirational 😊
I'd love to see the video about EIP! I'm always curious about how firm hiring works. by the way, I love all of your videos, they're super informative! :)
. So complimenting one implies the other is not gorgeous? Also is giving someone a compliment somehow diminishing their intelligence? Make it make sense.
Thank you guys for all of these videos because they are so informative and helpful! If you have time, would you guys mind still making the video on EIP? Also, as for Halloween costumes you guys and David would kill an Egyptian theme!
Love these videos!! Would you guys be willing to do a video on your undergrad experience (what extracurriculars you were involved in, majors, and, ultimately, why you chose law) I’m going to be a freshman this year :)
We talked a bit about our undergraduate experience in our How to Get into an Ivy League Law School video, but we can surely talk more about it and our reasons for choosing law school in another video. And good look, enjoy every minute of it because college flies by.
Hi! Thank you for these videos! Love them so much. Been watching for years and finally going to law school this Fall. My question for you is, do you have a school supply video? I’m really trying to decide between binders or 5 Star note books but was wondering if you had a video on the best school supplies for law school?
Your videos are SO helpful. I just started 1L and this one has been especially great. My school actually pays for quimbee for us BUT THEY DON'T TELL US THAT IT EXISTS smh
This is awesome! I was wondering if you guys could share your outlines? I’m a 1L and I’m struggling in where to start in terms of my outline. Thanks for the video this is super helpful!
I am glad you found the video helpful. Unfortunately, we cannot share our outlines. If you are still having difficulty getting started, feel free to shoot us an email and, hopefully, we can be of some assistance. - Sam
Some common reasons are that when others submit their work, there is an assumption that it will remain within whatever bank they submit it to/ if you are a TA for a class, you aren't allowed to give it to others.
May you do me a favor ? I would like to know how did you brief for Civ Pro? The way you two outline is different and better organized compared to what my professors taught at my former law school. Their advice really costs several students’ futures.
Thanks Ladies I’m preparing for my first year of L1. Can you recommend places to find practice exams? I love this procedure. Also what are the names of your books 📚 from your first year? I would love to start practicing these methods a year before I start law school. I did a paralegal Studies bachelors during undergrad.
No one teaches you how. The assumption is that you'll figure it out. Columbia is a little better than a number of schools because we had these optional work lunches called Focus Friday where they provided helpful information for 1Ls. For one of the Focus Friday sessions, the instructors discussed timelines and some of the other information we mentioned.
Not sure how often you check the comments for this video, BUT I'm a 1L this year (just survived my first week of classes!) and was wondering if you have any recommendations for which supplements to use?
Where did you ladies find practice exams for your finals? Is there a specific place to find them? Does the professor distribute? or do students share them? By the way it's AMAZING to see y'all succeed congrats on passing the bar and your jobs :)
Thank You!, some professors would email them to the class sometime during the semester and some affinity group and other organizations have them in their banks.
Happy Friday to you guys! I was wondering if you guys lived on campus your first year or close to campus? I'm wondering if that is helpful for school (i.e., saves time, can spend more time on campus, etc.). Thanks!
I lived on campus for the first two years! Next semester I don't plan to, but I only have class three days a week. My apartment was literally two blocks from the law school. It was really helpful for me because I study late at night and sometimes early in the morning. At times, I would literally find random classrooms at 1:00 Am to study in. - Sam
Yes, usually you can. At least that was my experience at Columbia. Some professors would allow the outlines for part of the exam and no outline for another part (like a multiple choice section).
I never did any of that. It seemed like nonsense to me. Graduated middle of the class, passed the Bar (Florida), now in practice. That last part is what really counts. But, they do have a point because some students need to do all that just to make it through 1L year.
Finally a good video on outlines and briefing. Thank you for showing us examples.

Love the video, but the background music is a little too loud and distracting.
I'm so glad that people finally showed me a piece of the workload and what it looks like. It's a-lot. Got it.

8 weeks into my first semester, and I wish I would have seen you guys at week 2. I have a lot of work to do this fall break
Thank you for this detailed video. This really helped me so much, cause i didn't even know what this outlining thing was
I'm happy we could help!
Angel has gorgeous bone structure! Just beautiful !
They are both gorgeous! But they are here to tell us about the law and what’s in their heads, not their looks.
. So complimenting one implies the other is not gorgeous? Also is giving someone a compliment somehow diminishing their intelligence? Make it make sense.

ooo, that is a good one! Thanks
At 3:45, what program were you using for your briefs?
Love this! Defintely going to use these tips!
Hi, i love your videos!! Do you have a video on staying organized during the law school application process?
This is great, thank you so much! :)

3 years later lol but where did you get that briefs template? I would love to use it!

Thank you for this video. Keep up the good work ladies.
Thank You!
I'm starting at CLS as a 1L in just a couple weeks!! So nervous, so thank you for making these videos :)
and please do the EIP video ad 1L recruiting videos!!!!
Good Luck! Hopefully, we'll see you around when we return from Cape Town. What Legal Methods section are you in?
Briffault!
subscribed, thank you from a grateful 1L!
Omg
Please do more “how to law school”
That attack outline was impressive! How did you manage to assemble yours? Is their one outline per class or how does that work?
You guys are very inspirational!
Your videos are SO helpful. I just started 1L and this one has been especially great. My school actually pays for quimbee for us BUT THEY DON'T TELL US THAT IT EXISTS smh
Wow, I find it so annoying when schools offer a key resource but don't promote it. Im happy you found out tho! -Angel

Angel & Sam LLP fair enough! I will follow up your advice here and will let you guys know.
Lol love y’all energy
Just out of curiosity, why aren't you able to share outlines if they're being passed along to you?
Some common reasons are that when others submit their work, there is an assumption that it will remain within whatever bank they submit it to/ if you are a TA for a class, you aren't allowed to give it to others.

The bar site for your state has past questions and answers and those are good study material
Hi Does anyonee teach you how to outline for law school? or how does it typically work on learning and knowing how to outline?
No one teaches you how. The assumption is that you'll figure it out. Columbia is a little better than a number of schools because we had these optional work lunches called Focus Friday where they provided helpful information for 1Ls. For one of the Focus Friday sessions, the instructors discussed timelines and some of the other information we mentioned.

We never have open book or note finals 😩😩 wish we did
I actually prefer closed book exams lol, but that sounds like a drag 😩
-Sam
Angel & Sam LLP I know I’m late but why did you prefer closed book? My school is only closed book☹️☹️
Hi ladies! Your vids are informative. Thank you. Angel looks like Candace in the have-and-have-not.
That's the second time someone has told me I look like her lol Thank you! --Angel
I use to hate obiter dictum year 1
Thank youuu
You're welcome!
Would it be possible for you all to share your outlines /briefs ?
That is actually something that I've been advised since the beginning of law school not to do, and I like to generally stick to that.
- Sam
Can you usually use your outline when you take exams?
Yes, usually you can. At least that was my experience at Columbia. Some professors would allow the outlines for part of the exam and no outline for another part (like a multiple choice section).

Were you both happy with your 1L GPA?
Your outlines and attack outlines look dope but I also wanna know how effective they were in the end because letter grades do matter :(
The music has to go!!!!
