    Im starting from the floor up. My question is about your floor mat.
    What size mat LxW should one purchase that best fits that B52 set up.?
    At 400lbs, once set up, the flooring would be harder to do.
    Thank you. Great review. I'm definitely going to use your code.

      Thanks man, I really appreciate it! Personally, I recommend the horse stall mats from tractor supply. They are 3/4ths of an inch thick. They don't move at all, they don't distort, and are $50.00 each. They measure 4x6feet. I know they have some smaller ones 2, if u have an odd measurement. I would get two 4x6 mats and place the rack right in the center. The seam will be unnoticeable.

    I love mine! Only issue is using bench inside cage with dumbbells it’s tight DB’s hit the sides.

      Yeah, I could see that. I always pull my bench out

    Do you need to use the weight horns on the back for weighted stability or is the machine stable enough without them?

    • @ScienceBasedFitness
      @ScienceBasedFitness  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, you don't need to use them. I'm debating taking them off and sliding the machine all the way to the wall. The machine is 405lbs. It's not going anywhere.

    What carabiners do you recommend?

      I went to a local fitness store and bought their basic carabiner. I didn't get carried away.

    It’s hard to trust someone with an affiliate link

      Agreed. I did my best not to be biased, but being transparent about the affiliate links is really all I can do.

    I have had a similar rack for 2 years and they are wonderful for young starter types or not so strong people.
    For strong people who have over 350 lbs on the bar this is not for you. I have the full power rack with safeties bars but I wouldn't drop over 350 lbs on them and they are way stronger than the safety spotter arms that come with the half rack style, I wouldn't trust those over 250 lbs. and if weight dropped on them the rack could easily flip over.
    Biggest con is size and shape of uprights, they are made so no attachment from any other company (REP, Rogue, Titan etc.) will fit them except from their company (Major Fitness) and all their attachments are weak and not something you would buy unless forced to. You won't like the attachments.
    You asked what I thought so I gave you an honest answer, having used one for a couple years.
    I like mine and it will be the only way most people will be able to afford a rack and cable system in their home gym so their is a niche for this rack and it does the job.
    If you are on a budget or just cant see forking out 5k-10k on a home gym set up than this is a Great option!!!!!!!

      I think if I started my gym space over. I would go with the rack without the smith machine you lift inside of. I would be less of a worry about dropping weights. Do u watch Coop Garage Gym reviews? He dropped 800lbs on the cheapest Amazon rack, you should check it out it was super entertaining

      Yeah, I saw it but it was a full rack with safety pipes, if he would've dropped 200 lbs. on spotter arms it would've flipped over
      Be careful with your spotter arms. They are no where near as safe as pipes all the the way through the rack plus you can only use them to bench press with as they ate not reliable for squats, they are too short. You didnt see Coop drop anything on spotter arms, he always used a full rack

    • @ScienceBasedFitness
      @ScienceBasedFitness  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, you're right they were not spotter arms.

    • @ScienceBasedFitness
      @ScienceBasedFitness  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I looked online and read more the Jhooks I have are rated for 1000lbs but the spotter arms are only 500. I wonder what would happen. I should do it

      Be careful, watch out for the arma failing and the rack flipping
      I still say these racks are a Great option for someone who wants a rack and a cable system in their gym for a reasonable price

    Are you familiar with ritfit? If so which one would you suggest the major fitness or the ritfit. Thank you

      @ScienceBasedFitness  19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Taking a look at Ritfit, they seem somewhat similar. Although I can't really speak on their quality since I've never used one in person. I'll be honest I love my major fitness equipment, but it's all up to you. I'm very confident recommending Major Fitness.
