What is the x and m for on the side? I’m assuming m is for mechanical/manual shooting mode and x for flash (I have the similar 517/2 model). Please advise 😊
I’ll have to dig it out and get back to you. But just as a side note I have shot portraits with this and I wouldn’t recommend it (unless shooting on infinity mode from far!)
@@thecurioussquirrelreviews you’re welcome! I don’t think there is a self timer on this! Don’t recommend taking portraits on this but if you experiment enough you might find the perfect focal length!
I can see you are not a professional photographer because your statements on the format of film and it’s use are clearly false medium format is not only for presentation of work it’s for higher quality output to paper and resolution of the silver in the film is of much finer grain please read more about film grain output and resolution of film in print
Professionally speaking there is no jealousy in correcting false statements on photography equipment I have been a professional since 1970 and did my photography degree at Napier college for your information and worked with some of the top photographers in the international industry
It’s a real shame that someone of such purported age and experience, that instead of offering support to a fellow budding photographer, you’re simply criticising them in a very haughty manner. Perhaps you should consider how you word your ‘constructive criticism’ in future.

I have a Zeiss Ikonta 6x6. Such a joy and what a feeling of accomplishment after developing the film.
It's a tiny beast of a camera. Highly portable, great design and ofcourse when shooting BW the images come out extra special!
Thank you for this! Just got a zeiss ikon nettar and I'm new to using a medium format film camera.
You’re welcome! Have fun shooting with it!

Sorry, one more question. If I wanted to use the self timer mode, how would I go about setting it? Thanks for such a quick response!
