Its moments like this that make me say... riding a bicycle just wasn't meant to be. I say this because where i live most cyclists go on the wrong side of the road, travel at a speed of 2 and don't know that there is a law to riding a bicycle. When one does obey the law they still have the chance to be obliterated like what we just saw. Of course speeding is the culprit but still... i don't know where bicycles belong at this point.

Rough situation. Had to decide whether or not to try and save it or lay it down to keep it from sliding. Not sure I wouldn't have done the same, but he really shouldn't have taken it back there on small street tires. 21 inch front, 18 inch rear are a must in situations like that.

Imagine that, but the potential is there every day and you can't just take your gear off and hop in a car. It's not a case of playing victim, it's real statistics based on population percentages. Just don't even open that can of worms. By brushing it off so simply he's implying that their deaths were not significant, like they didn't matter as people, dehumanizing because obviously they MUST have done something wrong. Some did do wrong, absolutely, but enough didn't.
