I just saw a video of guys fishing articulated streamers on my favorite stream and killing the nice browns. I’ve never even tied one so seeing this video next is a sign I need to get tying. Nice video.
Had the Kreelex in my box for years and never used it. Finally tied it on 2 months ago and load and behold, it worked. That's what I get for not showing it confidence. Like your colors, thanks!
Man I think I can handle this one..unless I win the giveaway then I’ll just use yours! 😂 Actually I’d have to frame yours Brian, it would be too special to lose.🙂 Thanks for the video and chance to win. Best wishes! 👍👍🎣👌
That's such a simple, quick tie. I've never fished a Kreelex. The profile seems like it would get super skinny as it's pulling through the water. Am I reading this right? I like the addition of the shank and, at that size, it doesn't seem like it would get hung up on itself.
So, during movement it does get pretty skinny....but during the fall it flares out really well--especially in slower water. The flash will always be a little bit of a pain at times when it comes to fouling.
Love the pattern but just one question (might me being brought up with books from Bob Popovics): why do you cut the flash straight and not tapered for better movement? I have noticed while fly fishing for pike that flash cut off at the same length tends to cloth together and moves less than tapered sections
This fly is one of the few times that I don't think we are looking at THE Kreelex unles the cuts are on hard angles. 99.9% of the time I like tapers too.
Looks like a super flash fly… it doesn’t put off too much flash?? I’m always concerned about having to much flash. Did I get lead down the wrong path with that concern???
Loving these flies! Thank you
Killer looking tie

Get to work! 🙂
One of my favorite patterns ever.
Nice looking fly
Thanks!
Absolutely terrific modification of the original kreelex. Definitely will tie some up for spring smallie fishing. 😃🎣
Go for it!
I like the inverted hook on this pattern!
Great tie! One of the easiest articulated fly videos I've seen. Thanks for sharing. If I can't win it I will try tying it.,

Love this! Purple is my favorite color!
Looks like a great smallmouth bass fly.
It is!
Great looking kreelex. I've never seen them tied articulated like that. Gonna have to give it a go.
Really like that color combo! I don't tie, but I would buy.
Nice! Didn't think a kreelex could get any better

I aspire to have a sticker game like Brian!
😎
That's a great tie. Love the colors.
Endless color-combos for this fly.
Granted, I'm not the most experienced but I've never seen a Kreelex tied in anything but gold and silver. Very cool color scheme!
Short, sweet, simple, Oh so nice. 👍
And easy!
Used kreelex a bit on steelhead flies. Love this articulated fly
Kind of a different looking fly, but who knows what the fish want. I guess the fish do, but they're not talking. Keep the good stuff coming Brian.
Thanks, will do.
Great Fly, Colours are a winner.
So good!
Like the purple!
I haven't worked with shanks yet or made any articulated fly. I need to & have several ideas. Thank you for the video.
Love the color combo
Thanks!
Thanks for sharing Brian, looking forward to the next video.
Thanks, Paul!
Good to see your thread isn't falling of the spool and turning into a birds nest on the floor.
Stooopid thread spools......😡🤬😡
This is great! Nice quick tie. Thanks for the video
Thanks for watching!
Nice job gotta love those simple flies!
Sometimes simple is better.
A great pattern made even better!
Good stuff!
The one fly that “flies” in the face of a few tying conventions. I like it Brian and a quick, cheap guide fly tie. 😎🎣
I see what you did there. 😉
@@flyfishingtheozarks nice as a stepdad I enjoy puns more and more lol 😆
Nice, looks way cooler than the traditional kreelex.
I agree!
Great fly looks fun to tie
Great looking fly!!!
Thanks!
Thanks for video Brian. Looks like I'll be at feather craft buying some kreelex. Stuff has a bunch of uses.
Yes! Tell the guys I said Hi!
sure will.@@flyfishingtheozarks
Beautiful
Looks great and would love to catch some fish on it
Cool and simple fish catching pattern. Thanks Brian
Thanks for watching!
Love the Kreelex and articulating it just made it better👍🏻
Looks slick and will fish well
It does!

never fished kreelex, looks cool
That's a sick color combo! I might tie it in yellow/white and rock it for saltwater fishing. Awesome work, dude.
Like it, been planning on tying my articulated flys with one hook and a shank for the trailer, better for the fish I think
Thanks!
Quick and simple, seems great!
I am usually not a huge fan of such flash-forward flies.....but this is an iconic pattern.
Haven't evon watched the video yet an I no its gonna be a good one watching as I speak keep up the good work
Very nice!
Such a nasty color combo! 🔥
Love it!
Looks good !
So good.....
that fly is bad ass, gotta try one of those.
It is super solid.
i love it. thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching!
Love it!!
Thanks!
Slick!
Nice 👍
Nice!!!
And here I was wondering if I really needed to get shanks and start articulating… time to give the shop my money
When in doubt.....go to the fly shop. 🤣😂
sweet!!!!!!!

I love the kreelex minnow
The articulated version should only fish better.
So much more movement!
Nice as always,c
Great job 🔥 What wire thickness do you use here ? Thanks
.45mm 👍
Thank you
Looks like a super flash fly… it doesn’t put off too much flash?? I’m always concerned about having to much flash. Did I get lead down the wrong path with that concern???
Me too, Bill. The vast majority of the time I am not a fan of overly flash flies....but they definitely have their place.
If that fly doesn't get it's attention, nothing will. I'd love to try it on redfish and speckled trout here in Louisiana.
Definitely!
What species do you target with that type of fly?
All of them. 😎
So simple yet about 90% uf us are thinking:
WHY DID I NOT THINK OF THAT!!!
Me to.......
Just out of curiosity, why did you chose polar flash for the bottom and not kreelex flash like on the top?
Polarflash has a better opposing color that what Kreelex offers.
Why make the square cuts? Other than that's what the patern calls for
Flashy
Hi Brian, sent you an insta re competition😁👍🏻
Hola eh!!!!
Like me a kreelex
That generator doesn’t seem to like me
Looking dirty!
It’s nasty
