It's a good thing you talked about the good sides of lockdown. Always try to acknowledge the good sides of any situation. I'm really loving it! It doesn't mean I'm not aware of people suffering and working and going through a lot, of course. And it doesn't need to be controversial.

I agree with you Miranda I hate small talk and I’m a very quiet, shy, introverted person anyway. I often feel anxious at work because the managers expect me to change and be more outgoing and keep telling me in my work reviews that I have to start casual conversations with staff more, when I have no idea what to talk to them about. My main hobbies are watching anime, Disney films and playing Nintendo games, so have nothing in common with people at work, who only want to talk about love island. I also find it uncomfortable when they keep asking if I ever want a boyfriend and I don’t want to explain to them that I’m demisexual and only see myself being with a women, because every person I speak to about it is ignorant and doesn’t have a clue what I’m talking about.
Miranda these chats have been keeping us going over here in the states as well. OK .... I've done about sixteen "sweep browses" in my little apartment today ... but still. Lovoo.
Is there a lot of crossover between HSPs & autistic people? I'm autistic & some of what you described in this video I can relate to because of that. & the thing you said about people suddenly being more understanding with postponing & people struggling is a great point - that should definitely be something which should be taken forward after this crazy time. my 7 year old is HSP. can't handle loud music, can't handle being shouted at, doesn't like large groups of people and pretty much stays off on her own at parks and the beach. Doesn't give hugs usually.
I'm a lot the same, even at 46. Am very affectionate and love hugs with the right person and want to hold on too LONG and too tight then, but with anyone else feel awkward and uncomfortable about hugs and never know if I should try to give one, when to give one, and HOW to give one (do I try to be more masculine, I'm a guy, or what?) so all that goes into just hugs! And I overthink a lot of other things this way! Anxiety -inducing is not the word
