Hello Adam... could you explain to me why in the sentence with Jim in one example we use because " he had" but another with "has been"? Thank you in advance Adam ...🙂👋🙏
Thank you Adam for your work. Nice to watch you again. I always look forward to your lessons, because they are so interesting and stunning. I like them very much. ❤
@@srdjansww7562 I suppose "had" means that the reason is the fact of some prolonged activity in the past separated from a personal context, and "has" is related to the current state and a bit more personal. "Because" refers to an object (some fact), yet who implies a direct subject. Nice question.
It is a bit of an odd structure compared to other uses of the perfect tense and past participle. Having watched your video and clear explanation, I can explain it more easily.
Hi Mr Adam, I've been really impressed by your skills in English lesson. I’ve been wanting to improve my skills in passive infinitive and passive gerund area and I believe you have a lot of valuable insights. Would you be willing to share some of your knowledge ? SOLOMON, Ethiopia 🇪🇹, Addis Ababa

Hi Adam, how's it goin' ?. Great video lesson Adam, that was an excellent Grammar lesson, I mean, those are different ways to say the same thing and the other usages of the word "having". The best part of all is that I understood how to use that structure, thanks for the video Adam 👍.
hello Dear teacher, I came across your wonderful class and I would like to ask a question. I saw this sentence in a cookbook and said; The pomegranates has been grown for at least 5,000 years, making it one of the oldest cultivated fruits. I thought there was a structure like partıciple but I did not understand it. before comma, that section refers to passive and other part is active .Now that pomegranates has been grown for at least 5000 years , who made it one of the oldest cultivated fruits ? thank you for your interest:))
I don't see anything wrong with that gerund phrase qualifying Ted to be the COO. I guess it though it implies that if any other person also had the same several years of experience, then those people would also qualify. It's a difference, yes, and I guess if you need to make a specific point then it could be understood the wrong way.
Does anyone know which one is correct (I already Googled it and didn't get a clear answer): 1. Not "everyday" will be like today or 2. Not "every day" will be like today. Ignore the quotation marks. I purchased a PNG from Etsy and I think the grammar might not be correct. Thanks.
Teacher, What is the meaning "HAVING" in this sentence? Would you mind explaining it? "The fast bowler, who will turn 31 in December, has led India once, in the one-off Test in England in 2022, when Rohit was forced to sit out after having tested positive for Covid-19." Why don't we use "BEING TESTED POSITIVE" instead of HAVING TESTED POSITIVE?

The "gerund phrase" is actually a non-finite (present participle) nominal clause which functions as the subject of the whole sentence.
Thx!
It was really helpful
Having seen this video, i feel more confident

Google doesn’t give clear answers, it’s how you just learn it 😅
Teacher, I think we live same city , do yiu have private English class that I can attend in person?
Can you tell me - why not Saudi Arabia??? Why do you need English???
Iam not from Saudi Arabia, iam canadian , do you think the name mahamud belongs to only saudis?

Beacuse "after" showing that he had tested COVID-19 positive then he was forced to sit out
there needs to be use of a perfect form.
