Oh hey, you're the guy that made that great video about Disney ride names. Got this one in my recommended and will watch it when I can. I've been on Pipeline and I think it's a great coaster. It's something unique for coaster enthusiasts and definitely the best launch coaster in the park. It did have a surprisingly short line when I went this year given how new it is, so I have to assume it is not super popular with the general audience. That's unfortunate in my opinion, since I enjoyed it quite a bit and would love to see more of the model.
Here’s my awful experience I had on pipeline: So it’s the first week of June and we get to the park 30 mins before opening. Once the park opens we head to pipeline for rope drop. We get about 200 feet away from it and it’s roped off. An employee says it won’t open until 9:30 because they are doing an event for it. We are a little disappointed and head back over to manta which we find closed because they were waiting on an employee to arrive which is absurd. Then it’s almost 9:30 so we head back to pipeline and 2 HOURS LATER they finally opened at 11:30 (and didn’t even apologize for the MAJOR inconvenience) and we finally got back to pipeline and then they say all of our things need to be in a locker, so we have to wait in line for a locker and waste 4 dollars. We then have lost our spot in the gigantic line we had been waiting in and finally get in line. 10 minutes later we get to the station and find out it’s on one train. (I am not sure if that is usual but since kings island is my home park this came as a shock to me (not really)). Then in the station there are 6-8 people waiting per row so the station is filled to the brim, you could barely walk. Then we finally get into our row 30 minutes later (yes 30 minutes in the station) Why? Because the operations were absolutely atrocious. We finally get on the ride; it was fun but this experience definitely took a toll on how much I enjoyed Pipeline.
Yeah I will say this much, it is the most unreliable B&M so that explains the 1 train. But there is no excuse for the rest such as understaffing and undertraining. This seems to be a united parks chain wide occurrence now and it gets worse by the days.
They should have swapped the blue & white. If the supports were blue & the track white, it would’ve looked more like you’re surfing the crest of the wave. Minor, I know, but details matter.
Tbh, i loved pipeline, the only real complaint i have about it is that while at the brakes waiting to get into the station, the seat hydraulics get stiff and won't go back down, but besides that, i thought it was a nice ride and a good adition to the other great coasters there
I’m also 6 foot tall and my friend and I rode it shortly after it opened and I absolutely loved it, it gives feelings and an experience unique all its own and that’s really cool for a lil coaster. Pipeline is one of my favorite new rides of the last couple years
I love Rollercoasters but Sea World mostly has coasters. They need to get innovative & create dark rides. Yes I know they do have some dark ride elements on some rides but we need at least 2 to escape the Florida heat
I went to SeaWorld and at the time I ridden two indoor rides and Journey To Atlantis which was a banger but the other two I wouldn't really call dark rides. One was a track less ride about penguins the other was a motion simulator themes to helicopters? It's been a couple of years and I am writing this on a whim. But I agree they need something to diversify themselves with something cool. I think a dark ride themed to the deepest part of the oceans would be pretty cool (I don't know much about dark rides).
I disagree, I like that fact about them. Theme parks this days lack of good roller coasters, if SeaWorld were to add Dark Rides, it would have to be something really REALLY innovative. I remember when the park use to have only 2 Coasters, seeing its growth it’s day and night. Keep giving us great coasters, with that and the shows is a perfect balance!
I was just wondering, wouldn't your favorite coaster diamondback be considered 2 across seating on a B&M? Although they are spaced widely apart in the even rows, it is 2 across. The seating feels more frightening than Orion to me. Really great in depth video! Thanks! I shall sub. 👍

You want to stand up straight and tall when you get in, they limit how high the seat goes regardless of your height. So if you squat or lean at the beginning then you won’t get to the top

Its good. Not great. The standing airtime is great but the layout doesn't benefit the ride style. The lack of theming seriously hinders it, just like Icebreaker and even Mako. Doesnt compare to Kraken, Mamta, Journey to Atlantis etc. The music and presentation is decent, though. Weird choice for the park, in my opinion.

seaworld is 100% worth your time for mako alone. Plus there’s a good chance you could like this ride more than me. I say give it a shot! But ik there are tons of options in orlando.
@@themeparknerd643 Well it's partly because of SeaWorld's history and how no one would go with me there anyway because of it, and having already ridden Shambhala at Portaventura which is much nearer to me
Its good.
B & m is being sued by vekoma because of this attraction. B & m lately is so questionable.
Why do people act like their opinions apply to everyone I would go as far as saying pipeline is the most beloved coaster at SWO
Pro tip: Less "ass" more "eh" on the word "aesthetics" lol. good video tho.
I wasn't a fan either, got Iron Wolf vibes from it. You shouldn't have to "ride" a coaster a certain way for it to be enjoyable. It's a one-and-done for me.
Pipeline: the Surf Coaster is also a stupid name
youre a stupid name
jk youre not wrong
I had heard all the hype of it and it was a real disappointment. Ice breaker is way better
Pipelines is awesome, stop yapping.
@@OrcaWave2 your insecurity is showing
It is awesome. Definitely not a bad coaster at all.
Sadly most coasters today are meh. The coasters are being geared for more families rather than more extreme coaster lovers. Blame the money for that.
Velocicoaster and Iron Gwazi disagree.
@@Trahzy I said most
The capacity is awful. Painful and claustrophobic.
It’s also completely inaccessible
I dont understand why some of y'all enthusiasts keep crying about certain rides. You wont like everything that comes with the ride all the time. Stop complaining so much and be appreciative. I heard you say you wish it was as fast as Iron Gwazi? You ever think maybe science and engineering have something to do with why it cant be that fast? Yall stay complaining about speed/ comfort collars/ airtime/ brake trims etc. Chill and enjoy the ride created or go ride the next ride.
I was really not a fan of Pipeline either. My least favorite coaster in the entire park and it’s in my bottom 5 overall
@@justiceleaguebattleformetr9239 why so low?
@@themeparknerd643 it was super uncomfortable the whole time between the positives hurting my legs, the vests being extremely tight and the bicycle seat causing tons of discomfort. Plus I didn’t leave my seat at all so there were no redeeming qualities
