I buy the big 16 oz plastic boxes of greens from Costco and what I do is to take them all out and put two paper towels in the bottom then I put a layer of the greens and another two paper towels and keep repeating until it's full. Absorbing the moisture that they generate is the key, otherwise, they rot. I never tried the aluminum foil - what does it do? Love your videos. They give us such a nice break from everyday life. For your lettuce and fresh vegetables, the Debbie Meyers “green boxes” will keep your food fresh and crisp for many days. Here is an idea, buy a set for your family, then take out a few boxes for yourself for the road. Debbie Meyers sells on HSN shopping channel and other places. They DO work!
Debbie Meyers also has bags that work great. I've used them for all kinds of fresh veggies and fruits. I also have a battery operated vacuum packer that works good.
Take the lettuce out of the package and put it in a ziploc freezer bag. Then fold up paper towels pretty thick and place inside on either side of the ziploc bag. This will absorb the water in the salad and make it stay fresher a lot longer. Really easy. I've been able to get about 10 days before it starts to turn bad.
I might be wrong but it looks like your near Mt Mitchell just off the Blue Ridge Parkway, absolutely unbelievable area. I’ve been in Southern Appalachia most of my live and never get tired of it.

You asked about how to keep lettuce better and I'll tell you how I've always done it. I buy a head and take at least putter leaves off and cut the core out. Beautiful area. Nice aerial shots.
Nice video, love the upgrades, the kayak and the dog paw 'balloons'. Instead of lettuce I'd suggest getting cabbage (red and green, much healthier, and add some spinach) cuz it will keep longer (and using the tip from another commenter about removing from package and wrap in paper towels and tinfoil). Nice camp site.
Thanks for the tips! Glad you liked it
Great video! I like all your new toys. Where did you find the chair? Congrats on being back on the road, I wish I was! The bags of lettuce ruin in a few days in house refrigerators also. Some people say wrap it in a paper towel then put it back in the bag. It's a mystery! Lol
Stay safe out there!
Thank you. I got my chair on amazon for like $30
I've been doing the prius camping in this region lately as well! So pumped to see this video. Definetly on my list now!
Love your videos and that your real and to the point with your information. Do you notice your internet diminishing after using a lot for videos and such on Visible? I’m going to try it out for 15 days. I’m using all your links to purchase like items as I definitely want to help you out with your adventures and journey! I’m hoping to start a channel too as I have been building a Sienna camper van and want to share adventures!
I love All the new stuff.. happy camping kayaking...
Glad you liked it
Great video post -- your dog is so well behaved.
Yes, thanks
Great drone glfootage! And living the new set up.
Am I right in assuming you can’t use the buetti to power your instapot and microwave? Would love to hear from you IMon this 😊
My house keeper wrapped lettuce in wet paper towels to keep fresh, 2021 Toyota hybrid Venza, would like to make camping setup like yours Kansas city area home base
Awesome mate!! Envy of ur free spirit!!
Thank you
Exhaust into your hatchback tent: do you need to turn off the Prius when sleeping in the tent? Edit. Answered my own question. I watched video again. Gorgeous location. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your adventures.
I think your lettuce is freezing, maybe set ur fridge warmer and definitely keep it in the warmest place in your fridge, enjoying your vids
Ok thanks!
Wow! Nice to see you on the camping again, are they any wildlife animals like bears, tigers, deers and other kind animals, but becareful and takecare and have fun and enjoy 😉 😀 😊 talk to you later bye-bye 😀 😊 🥰👍👍
Thank you, same to you. Yes there is TONS of wildlife out there, lol. Bears, snakes, insects, rodents, birds, everything
I like your napier tent I'm going to get me one of those like your video's I live in a minivan
I’m glad your back. Try putting in one of your jars.
Thanks, yea i thought of that right after i made the video lol, ill have to try that but moisture builds up in the jars
@@MountainSpringsAdventures put a paper towel in the jar? If you don’t mind me asking. How much did you pay for your kayak and mask. Those would be great gifts for my son for Christmas. Love your channel.
The mask was only like $8 at Walmart
This is my kayak: amzn.to/3DngGIK
@@MountainSpringsAdventures I thought I heard you say you got the kayak from Walmart
@@annawilcox5644 I did get it at walmart, but they sell them on amazon also. I had to go to 9 or 10 different walmarts before I finally found one that had one in stock this summer. Although now that fall/winter is coming, they are probably easier to find at walmart
Love the drone footage!
Glad you enjoyed it
You definitely outdid yourself on this one! Love the video editing also the kayak super awesome!
Thank you 🙂
👍👍👍👍👍👍 Brilliant idea the tent. 😊
Thanks 👍
next time take that burrito roll it up... wipe some oil on the outside of it... place on a small cast iron skillet... get super hot press burrito down firmly to flatten some... brown it on both sides... makes them sooooooooooooo much better
Great idea
Great video! Congratulations on the new purchases for your camp setup.
Thanks, glad you liked it
What are your thoughts on installing a cargo box on your car? Does it impact the stealthiness of your vehicle when staying in cities?
Yes it does impact stealthiness. That's the sacrifice of having a cargo box
@@MountainSpringsAdventures Thanks for the reply, if you were primarily staying in cities do you think it’s best to get rid of the cargo box? The convenience of a cargo box is amazing but then again it’s true that it impacts stealth a lot.
Great video! Thank you for sharing! 👍🤗
Wow!!! Love the upgrade, youre videos are always so relaxing to watch :) I feel like I am there.
Thanks, glad you find them relaxing
You’re too awesome! Thank you for amazing videos. 😊
You're welcome 😊
Love to see when you upload. This is such an awesome channel. Would love to hear more about your film gear used, and what your line of work is.
Thank you very much :)
I will keep in mind to mention my filming gear more in future videos
Hey, how is your Prius doing maintenance wise ? Everything holding up well? Any breakdowns on the road? Good to see everything rolling along for you.. !
