I find that I win more when I have more of a selection. Early in the morning when most people have left. When you have more of a selection, you don't feel obligated to stay at one machine. When you have more options when the casino isn't busy, your odds are a little better.
At our nearby casino, I notice the "red envelope" bonuses tend to go off, so to speak, in late morning, between 11 am and noon. You can tell because they reset to $100. I have one in particular I like to play and if it's at, say, $140+ around 11:30, I'll throw a $20 at it and play minimum bet. Won several times that way. Otherwise I just need enough players around for the energy but not too many to occupy the slots I want.

I had a friend of mine that worked at a casino and he did confirm that Tuesday and Wednesdays they actually do loosen the slots. They do it at midnight on Tuesday till midnight on Thursday. They tighten them from Thursday to Monday due to pay days. He worked there for 10 years.
@@slaycj2413 How do you deal with federal taxes now, since they raised the standard deduction to $24,000 for a couple most people dont have that many deductions, so they can no longer deduct gambling losses - if you play now with $10,000 and then break even on a $10,000 jackpot, there is no way to deduct the $10k loss, and the $10k W2G tax form they give you will get taxed at 25 to 30%. So even though you break even $10k in and $10k out - you have to pay up to $3000 on that one jackpot. The only way for the average person to deal with it is to play low payout machines and hope you dont hit over $1200 on any one spin. Really sucks the life out of casino play. I read something about paying taxes as a "professional Gambler" a schedule C sole proprietor business (self employed) but the IRS is short on details....

It's when the machine hits its quota is when it can pay out. Say a major is at $1000, the machine needs to make $3000 minimum to pay out. That's minimum it's probably make 6k to 9k before it decides to hand out a major

Went to the casino last night with $100. Down to $40.....back up to $65.....down to $30....up to $80.....kept playing ....down to $12....up to $25...up again to $150....Kept playing.....down to $100...

Pay days after 3:00. On Sundays after 11:00. On the day machines are visted by the workers for the casino.
It's when the machine hits its quota is when it can pay out. Say a major is at $1000, the machine needs to make $3000 minimum to pay out. That's minimum it's probably make 6k to 9k before it decides to hand out a major
Do the machines get set internally or from a main computer on site? As well can they change the payout structure any time?

I heard the best times are in the evenings..large crows..feeding the slots....and I had a aunt that worked at one of the casinos in NJ ..many years ago and stated..mornings the personnel would empty machines out.....I think is luck..i have one. at different times mostly in the evenings...
