Tamotsu Nirasaki is a gay high-school teacher who can't get laid. One day, he finds out one of his pupils, Yu Shiotsu, is also gay. "Can I finally become happy?" Nirasaki asks himself, but it turns out Shiotsu is in love with the top student of the class. As Nirasaki gets depressed that he doesn't have a chance from the start, he makes Shiotsu confess his love to the other student, and tries to take advantage of his failure.

That little speech Shiotsu made near the end was beautiful. Just beautiful.
Seems that Shiotsu is comfortable with himself being gay and that's the MOST important thing of all! All of the rest will fall into place eventually.
It was funny, sweet, and sad all at the same time. They both want something they can't have. Which is happiness. I feel like I can relate to this. The teacher at first was creepy, but as the short film continued on you came to realize that he was a sweet giant who was desperate for love. I hope to see more from you. This was very well done. The acting was well done as well.

What a great short film. It's rare to find something like this, especially since the characters weren't overly attractive either. It felt very true to life and it was very enjoyable to watch.
Awwww, this was so touching! The actors were great and the theme is SO true: it's very hard to find just ordinary happiness.

I love this movie. I'm really moved by what Shiotsu said that he was only looking for a quite ordinary happiness. Yeah, we also just want to experience love and holding hands and being with your true love. What did しおつくん say? ごくごく ふつの しあわせ? So beautiful.

He's lonely. It was written clearly in his dialogue that this is his first 'gay' encounter.
Just coz ur lonely doesn't excuse the fact the boy is his student and a hell of a lot younger than him

Great acting from both three actors. I like how the plot was not a cliche. Super like how it was directed. It's not dizzying compared to other short films in which the camera is too movy. Love the lighting and the music at the ending. Would u mind sharing the music btw?
the movie is really well done. Serious, funny and it show a differen way to show this theme. Never can be easy but it is different from so many gay themed movies and, especially, never boring. The end... you must chosse the end of it. Each of us can think and feel a different end but the entire story is well developed. That's life, real life and that's the best of this short movie. Many compliments and go on please
I really enjoyed watching this, the story line was funny and cute but a little sad at the same time cause they both wanted happiness and a relationship but they didn't obtain it. I was actually sad when it ended xD I really liked it, the acting was great and it was very well done. Thank you for making this amazing short film ^^

Countering the expectation that all main characters would be good-looking, I liked the choice of choosing a teacher with an unkempt, bulky mien. His creepy personality was well-balanced and never treaded too far into extremes.
I liked how the ending wrapped up they were searching for the same happiness in the end and the subtitles were great. I thought the order of events were thought out well and went smoothly. Thanks for sharing.

Why have I never watched this before? I've literally watched every bl that I could find in my 7 years as a fujoshi, this was 4 years ago. I FAILED AS A FUJOSHI.

I felt so bad watching a teacher planning to take advantage of a heart break to start a romantic relationship with his student. That is so wrong. I hope the teacher realized this and gave up at the end.
I also felt pained watching the student being rejected. That always hurt. I could relate to his situation. I think his reaction was quite mature after hearing search harsh words from the other student.

I disagree I think the acting is lovely and the directing is very smart.
It manages to be both funny, romantic, and a bit sad at the same time.
We care about what happens to the characters and that doesn't happen by accident.
I love that the story deals with people where they are and not just suffering from being gay. Being happy & loved.

It doesn't have anything crude or vulgar, in fact these aspects can also be applied to people looking for straight relationships, which underlines the fact that homosexuals aren't any different. Not gonna lie: The teacher skeeved me out (might just be a cultural thing), but I thought it was an original and realistic take on a 'coming out story' from a different culture. I wish you success and hope you make more (hopefully with english subtitles as well).
