I am not at all surprised that Tom and Danny won The Voice UK with one of their choices. As much credit goes to Mcfly lead singers for being able to create something out of nothing. The trio duet was the defining factor to Ava winning. A 3 part harmony with basic acoustic guitars was perfect.
The Voice is pre-recorded. She had won before the first episode of the season aired. They just weren't allowed to talk about it, for obvious reasons. ;)
