The RedMi Soundbar is cheap, but is it good?

  • Today we look at a cheap and cheerful back to the basics soundbar. A lot of tech has shifted in the 8 years that the Bose Soundlink mini has launched. And today, for a lot less money, we can expect a lot more performance.
    To give it to you upfront, the Redmi Soundbar is actually sounding better than the much more expensive Bose Soundlink mini. It's so much cheaper so the value and bang-for-buck factor is extremely high on the Redmi soundbar!
    Banggood sent me the following affiliate link! Do check it out. I think the price is good after the 50% coupon code!

    Very useful. I love when speakers reviews do not include sound sample at all.

    Glad you are recovering well Peter. As for your voice its hard to explain, you sound like "you" but more consistent and level.

    First of all I am glad you came thru the surgery and you are sounding great. You also are looking well rested. Congratulations.
    So, there is some "up coming news". Well, I hope it is regarding the upcoming news from Sonos and the launching of some new products. I see in the news there is something called a Sonos Roam. I am waiting to see what you have to say about this little guy. I have a room where even the Sonos One's are kind of over whelming and I am wondering if the Sonos Roam will be a solution. I know these are not shipping yet (end of March, maybe?). The Sonos Marketing Department seems to be "baiting the hook", and it is working; I am excited, but will wait until we hear from you regarding the Roam.

    Yes, Welcome back! I am sooo glad that all went well! I think that you sound more clear. I could understand everything that you said! It will be interesting to see a test comparison of before and after. I am very interested in the new announcement that you mentioned coming on Tuesday! Until then, get some rest!

    Welcome back! Glad operation went well. Was wondering if you’ve done any comparison between 2xHomepod vs 2xSonos Five, for music. Cant find much out there.

    Great content! One question: After initial setup, if i uplug the power, the next time i plug in the power again (at power socket), do i need to press the side button to turn it on again?

      i would also like to know this. not having a remote isn't great, unless you can power it on with the TV and control the sound bar through the TV remote and the sounder will always stay maxed out after you set it.

    I m looking for a speaker to connect a old samsung blue ray player but just use for playing old CD music disk sound only in order to save money for a old lady.
    I give her my old blue way player and want to solve below problems.
    Many Thanks^^
    1. Is it work if I use a blue ray player coaxial out to connect redmi soundbar coaxial in without connecting TV or Any other pc or Mon display?
    2. Is it work if I use a blue ray player hdmi output to connect a soundbar with hdmi input without connecting TV or pc Mon?

    Does the speaker sound quieter when silencing the TV with the remote control? Or it must be done by hand?

    • @PeterPee
      @PeterPee  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you line out from the TV with an analog headphone out, then yes. If it is a line level out and not variable, you will have to adjust the volume manually.

  • @gyrdin
    @gyrdin 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Damn, you have to readjust your settings for expander/gate, your voice is being cutted horribly.

    Can u use the tv remote to adjust its volume?

    • @PeterPee
      @PeterPee  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Unfortunately no. UNLESS, your TV has variable headphone output and not just a line level output. The variable headphone out will then be able to adjust the levels fo output. In which case you can just max out the volume on the soundbar and you control the overall volume from TV.

    can this pair perfectly with the wanbo t2 max?

    • @PeterPee
      @PeterPee  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They can work together but whether it’s perfect or not is another matter. Cos for long throw projector, it has to be the back. And your screen will be in the front. So you’ve got to run a pretty long cable to the soundbar.
