A great sling bag, fanny pack should have two/tree basic features IMO: 1 Be able to contain a bottle of water 0.5l or even 1liter so it becomes also a canteen during hot season wearing short pants with empty or no pockets at all. 2 No more than 2 zip pockets: a main large one and a back flat one so it will not drive you insane searching things: wallet and phone back, rest front. 3 large wide strap and buckle so it acts as a backpack strap not irritating nor cutting sweated skin while heavily loaded because a wide belt disperse weight and pressure. The fanny pack can be worn regular at waist, at shoulder transverse front accessing pockets or rear as a tiny backpack. A cheap but very well made an thought pack I find doing all this stuffs very good is the Bag Base BG142. A very affordable product too, since it is used as a gadget by embroiders of promotional merchandises, but very clever made, it has also an interior open mesh compartments in the main pocket with a lanyard to quickly retrieve keys. Light, simple but very capable and effective for a very low investment.
Great concept leaving that main compartment open. For a sling bag this size your use case exactly matches mine where you would have something additional you need to bring along. For me I often have gear that is work related that’s not part of my edc but I’ll need to transport it. I also agree about the non black interior. Nitecore has the all black aesthetic but maybe a muted version of their yellow would work well as an interior
A sugegstion is to replace the fenix in the tin with a Nitecore NU06 or similar, headtorch and signalling, petzl elite another option, and have a main flashlight that is multipurose and is a battery bank, saves carrying seperate battery bank, like the sofirn if23, with a tiny otg adapter it can charge phone, the if23 is 4000lumens, sos strobe etc, and side rgb lights for signalling...
I i wonder if there is a way to attach a small bottle holster to the side molles. Nothing huge - just something to carry, maybe a 0,5l/16.9 fl oz bottle on the sides.
It's hard to argue with any of that EDC. My personal preference for knives is a Pioneer, and an Alox SD. They aren't the best blades by a long shot but it's a pretty tough knife with a useful set of tools and my philosophy is to keep down the weight and size by carrying stuff that will get you by until you have better tools to hand. As for flashlights I've minimised to the Nightcore Tube. It's petty adequate for most tasks. If I upgrade it, I'm digging the small, square form Nightcore flashlight range. The band aids I like to carry are the blister type. They double up as a regular band aid but seem to stick better than most and getting a blister is about the best way to ruin your day and proper blister bandaids are great at staying where they have been stuck. Have you tried Palmer's Original Cocoa Butter Formula Lip Balm? I love the Burts Bees Chapstick but I think the Palmer's Original Cocoa Butter chapstick has the edge. YMMV
Thanks for sharing what you carry! Sounds like a good EDC while remaining lightweight. I have not tried the Palmer's Lip balm. I'll have to check it out.
I'm pretty sure llRC the Large SRM 7228 has VG-10 blade steel, and the small SRM 7228 has D-2 blade steel. I'm pretty sure it's not possible to get the small knife version with VG-10😕🤷.
I am a little confused because you said it is the smallest of the Nitecore bags, yet their website claims it has 2 litres of volume while the SLB03 is only supposed to have 1.6 litres. I have to say they seemed pretty similar in size when you held them next to each other. From your experience which one packs more and how accurate are their volume claims? :D
great bag! BUT: no holy tape and -cord? ;) I like the otacle titanium - gotten the same as "gift" at my last purchase. kinda oversized bottle-opener and undersized crowbar. still: not bad and comes in handy more often than i thought :)
It’s nice but I always carry a rucksack and would rather have a good pouch or 2 within that, great video though. Found your channel today and subbed 👍🏻

You need what you need, not what someone told you. Charge your phone with your wallet, or fight with your knife on total dark... or call the ambulance with a knife... Man I dont even have a wallet, it has no use in 2024, so Its all I need? And knife I carry everyday for the last 4 years, used 2 times in 4 years. So whats your point? Both itens listed is useless for me...

Yeah, some yellow accents on the inside would be pretty cool.
Yellow and orange interiors are great, but even light grey make huge difference and I prefer them in the profesional environment.
@@wesolowskimatt I see what you mean.
Great over view of the bag! Thanks for doing a carry breakdown was well, appreciate it!
Thanks. Glad that you enjoyed the breakdown.

The Nitecore might fit in the tin, but I think it would take a lot of space.
Having a flashlight with the power bank function is a great idea.
I carry the Nitecore carbon fibre power bank and its amazing
I haven't tried that yet.
I like the overall look of the bag and your carry is great. An edc item i always carry is my Kindle Paperwhite.
Thanks. I am certain a kindle would fit.
Great review , I have to add that fenix to my collection , great edc gear.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.

Yes, 3mm wide double sided velcro will do. I found it here in 5m roll, just loop the bootle with 2 or 3 points... I do this with umbrella...
The buts bees should go well as extender for the cellulose towel tablets to make great tinder
Very interesting idea... I have to give that a try.

👍With regard to the powerbanks, have a look at the Nitecore NB10000. It's smaller and lighter.
Thanks. I'll look into it. 👍🏻
Great carry mate, but it would be quite expensive to get the bag into Australia. Great show though.
Thanks. Nitecore doesn't have a shop in Australia? That's unfortunate.
Love these, please do one with the Viktos Upscale 2 or XL
Glad to hear that. I'll take a look at the Viktos bags. 👍🏻👍🏻

good video keep up the content. what matting do you use on your tables?
Thank you! This is the mat that I use. amzn.to/45GDmCM

This may not be the smallest volume wise, but unless I'm mistaken it is the smallest in dimension.
Can you compare this/with or review chayuentactical CT5? Im in dilemma of which to buy
great bag! BUT: no holy tape and -cord? ;)
I like the otacle titanium - gotten the same as "gift" at my last purchase. kinda oversized bottle-opener and undersized crowbar. still: not bad and comes in handy more often than i thought :)
Thanks. The only tape and cord is in the tin. And there is not very much of it. 🫣
Can the nitecore flashlight be carrier at the side molle? I mean slide in inside the molle.
Theoretically it could. Not sure that I would carry it that way though.
It’s nice but I always carry a rucksack and would rather have a good pouch or 2 within that, great video though. Found your channel today and subbed 👍🏻
Thanks for the sub!
What model of watch do you wear on your left wrist?Thank you
It is the Garmin Solar Instinct 2 amzn.to/45zAdVi

👍 hello from Poland.
Hello to you too.🙂

Do you sell scales?
I do not. I have to source the scales myself. But, I am more than willing to send you links to any set I have. 👍🏻

The hand carry needs ziptie, DONT TRUST, mine with a book, power bank and a flashlight has fallen 3 times, it does not handle the weight.
Interesting...
