Great video, Mike! I recently reviewed a 2016/2017 Honda Civic Sedan EX-T. I really enjoyed the updated interior on the Civic. I am also a huge fan of the hatchback style. I actually had a hard time distinguishing the sedan and the hatch apart at the dealer. Also, the seats in the Civic are so comfortable! The seats feel more comfortable than some luxury vehicles! I cannot wait to review a Civic hatchback! Keep up the great work, Mike!

Freddy K I own three Mazda's all high mileage ver dependable the 2004 Mazda 3 hatchback has 168,000 miles the 2008 Mazda sport 3 sedan has 98,000 and the Mazda speed 3 hatchback 68,000 love them all
mairena2000 high mileage is generally 150k and up, Of course on cars 2015 and forward 100k and up is a lot. But I don't know your cars and my mares have had bad luck woth mazdas (excluding a certain beloved.)

I can't speak for what Honda is going to do outside the US but would assume they would included that option as it is something a lot of customer are asking for when they order one. Best of luck!
East Coast Honda Well so many Turkish potential clients of this car is not happy but we are unable to advise this to Japanese Head Office unfortunately so are you able to reach them and inform that we require Sensing as optional in this car and we are able to pay extra money to them and i am talking about thousands clients not only 10 or 100 people.
I feel your pain Sir. We pleaded with them to not remove the traditional volume knob as our elderly clients have a hard time with that function but they did not head our warning. Now, enough customers have complained on their surveys that they are bringing the traditional volume knob back on the 2017 CR-V
Is it difficult to maintain this color for civics. I would imagine it is but I would like to know if it’s any different for some reason.

Can you use the swipe gesture on the steering wheel volume button on the hatch model of this car?
Question is it normal for that sound on motor?
What is the ground clearance like? I have "deadly" speed bumps in my neighborhood and I want to know if they would pose an issue or they should be fine. Also, how good is the visibility out the rear actually? Everyone says that it is ok, but can you also take off the back middle headrest just in case? Both my parents are fairly short, and seeing through the rear is pretty important

Paul Heo aftermarket probably, but all models with intelligent access come standard push button. If you want a key you'll have to go sport or below
Edit: i know this because I researched for months before buying my 16 Sedan Touring and just bought an 17 Ex Hatchback.
Not on the EX trim. You have to downgrade to the sport trim to get a physical key.

Just got the 2018 version of this EX trim I could say just driving it for 2 days that I am blown away by this car. It exceeded every expectation I had for a compact car. I got the black one and it’s really an upgrade from my Toyota Corolla 2015. 👌🏻

Should I get the EX or the Sport? Don't have the cash for the sport touring but I LOVE the dual exhaust on the sport along with the 18 inch alloys. But I hate to be missing out on the push to start, moonroof, and apple CarPlay. What should I do?!

chocolatewheelchair I ended up not being able to afford the EX hatch so I got the EX Sedan. Still love it.
I think they should have still included a the actual buttons on the center stack for people who don't want to use the touch screen.
I wish companies would build in the capacity for an interchangable console - I would pay extra for actual buttons. The electronics could be the base but if you wanted buttons they could just swap it out and re-connect the wiring. It is much safer to have physical buttons because you don't have to take your eyes off the road to look at the screen
Ditto. The new CR-V at least ditched the volume slider for a knob. I'll beg and plead for the Civic's system to be swapped for a CR-V's when I get serious about buying.

Only thing i worry about with this model is the felt seats. Does anyone know if the material is easy to clean. I would hate for the m to get stained. Also how’s reliability on this? I’m looking to use this for Uber. Not sure if it’s the best choice for this? I could obviously just get a Prius but I won’t stoop down to that level. I just can’t haha.

I don't know if it's just me, but I've had this exact version of the hatch for a little over a year, and the auto unlock touch feature for the driver, passenger and hatch doors stopped working.

Anyone having this issue with Maps in Apple Carplay?
When I have Apple Maps on and music playing, when Siri gives directions, my music is not lowered. So Siri and my music are the same volume which makes directions hard to hear. I have to resort to just play my music really low to be able to hear Siri. This isn't an issue when I use Bluetooth (music volume is lowered whenever Siri says directions). Any help?

I have the 2016 EX Black. Awesome Car..just be aware its BLACK in color so lots of washing, waxes, and detailing..so keep in mind...wish they offered some more colors in this class

Have you experienced the automatic lock of the car is a hit or miss? Sometimes it locks automatically based on your preset when you forgot to lock your car and sometimes it doesn’t. I don’t know if its just my car or the same for all?

Not a bad first car by any means if you have the money saved up.
Question: The video title (and the window sticker) say this is an "EX" but I see it has heated seats. I thought you could ONLY get heated seats with the "EX-L" or above, is that true? Is this really an EX-L or do the EX's actually come with heated seats?
EX Hatch has heated seats standard in 2017 models.

4K doesn't mean as much when the actual video quality isn't so hot. Maybe you need a new camera or just to adjust manual settings, feels like you shot this on a cell phone
I use the same camera in my other videos. You are the only person I had complain about video quality... are you sure you have the TH-cam setting set to 4k? Does your computer and monitor even have 4k capability?

There is no higher than ex for a civic lol. Ex and Si are both top trims but one is for cruising while the other is for abusing lol.

I just bought a 2018 Honda Civic hatchback EX, which is my first Civic car. The CVT takes longer to switch from 1st gear to 2nd gear. Is that normal? I had a Camry it switched the gears smoothly and I could feel it...
A CVT doesn't have gears. That is why it feels different.

Intake is actually in the front...it's the long hose with the airbox on the end of it. Sort of resembles an intake....
Fresh air goes thru the turbo (connected to the exhaust in the front) before it makes it's way to the intake in the back.

Hi Julie - we have not had any issues with the Civic so far after Honda fixed the issue with the Piston Ring (recall) which only happened on the very first batch they created. Saw it in person....not very impressed. Plus "power" on this car is non existing, you push gas pedal and it's only noise but car doesn't go any faster. Guess higher trim with turbo might be better.
