I’ve had one for several years. Excellent tent best I’ve ever had. Totally sturdy, storm proof great little features like the pockets . Zippers, poles and materials all first rate.
Very helpful video. Only question is why didn’t REI include any instructions with the tent? I’ve seen other manufacturers include instructions on a tag sewn into the storage sack. That would be nice; particularly if you’re somewhere that you can’t watch a TH-cam video.
I actually just bought this tent, and it has instructions sewn into a large piece of vinyl paper on the inside of the sack. Maybe they took your suggestion?
Gary Rose thanks for the video. Planning on buying this type of tent for my next kayaking trip. Good to know that REI is out of Seattle, as I live in British Columbia. God Bless!!!
Thanks for the the detailed review. I like that you actually get into the tent and explain what everything is for.

Great Review as I’m 6’2 like the headroom. How has it held up and durability and rain protection ? Thanks
Still like new, has faded slightly but still awesome.

Should have done a walk around before you put rain fly on.
Didn’t mention the important part - how does it do in the rain?

thanks for the video but careful with the camera there from like 9:50 to 11:00 I was getting dizzy lol
What’s the watch you’re wearing?
thingsyouseeinlife Garmin Fenix 5X
could someone explain to me what those ropes are that come with the stakes and what they are used for? Thanks!
They hold the fly mostly away from the tent to help keep dry and ventilation
@@GaryRose Thanks Gary. So would they be used on the sides (not the "edges" where the tent poles are)? And if so, you would just need extra stakes?
@@albertojasso3137yes sides and end of fly. Usually they come with 10 stakes. Like four for tent. Then the rest for fly.
Are you really 6 foot 8??
Yes, yes I am.
