Angling jackanory at its finest.proper special talent relating tales a man could only dream of.thanks for putting a smile on this old codger anglers face in these testing times.tight lines
Watching Dave's videos are like recreating the evenings in the Lodge at Horton or sitting around a swim. Interesting and humourous stories, lubricated with plenty of booze and tea. There's none of this scripted stuff, with product placement, a professional crew and unnecessary sound track. Just one man, his dog and chickens - can't be faulted. It reminds me of a generation before and how Fred Wilton could tell a tale. Thanks Dave - this could run for years.
Loving watching these videos, while we can't get out it's taking us back through time to enjoyable angling times, great stuff mate, keep em coming 👍👍🎣🍷🍺
Cool series.......I haven't touched my carp gear for 10 years but I think I'll be dusting it all down after this madness is over from watching this.....keep 'em coming as I'm loving the trips back to the 80's and 90's carp scene as i remember them well as we had similar adventures on the lake I fished back then.....and similar garish clothes, lol 👍
Brilliant laney.. Fishing, socials, laughter and disasters what more do we need.. Oh beers and smoke 😂😂 looking forward to the next one.. Thanks for keeping us all entertained mate
Dave lane you are the man! I've thoroughly enjoyed all your books flick of the tail has got to be up there with one of the best, and fair play for keeping us all entertained with the retelling of obsession 👌👌✌
Thanks Dave listening to your story’s really have cheered me up no end. Had some very sad news today a friend of 25years sadly passed away Thursday, and hearing you and the jokes you’ve had remind me of him so thanks 🙏🏼.
These are just superb, part of carp fishing folklore , captures how it was so much better than a book can. I wonder if anyone will be doing these on carp fishing now days.......in 30 years time ?
Brilliant stuff... !!! Thanks for taking the time to do this for us all and looking forward to more. We did meet a few times in the past at the Nunneries and west stow... I even got some scales from you after Tinker sent me to see you....Had a quick chat with you and Keith on E lake once as well...thanks again and take care.
Loving these Dave, your a bloody natural at it and I'm sure along with many others, that it's something you should continue beyond lockdown. Perhaps you could get some of your old mates to film some of the book stories that involve them. In the meantime thank you so very much. Be Safe, Be Well and Be Happy 👍🙏😎
Nice one 👌 Dave, love you ❤️ Keep em coming mate, hero stuff this bud. Getting me through the lockdown, I'm still working all the way through this. Some highs, unfortunately some close to home. I just listened to LBC to the press conference and learnt we have another 3 weeks. You get me through this mate, I'm serious. The only upside of another 3 weeks is the unfolding of more tales. Read your books at least 3 times. I'll be after 2 X the fine lines I think. I'll let you know. Please take care, look after those near and dear buddy. Xxx
I did my work experience many, many years ago at Horton. I've got a photo of Jenkins with a huge horton carp, plus some I took up a tree. If I can find them I'll message you them! Great video
Pete (weedbed) really was the nicest bloke you could meet, always genuinely delighted for anyone that caught, I remember one Friday night in the lodge a group of us ordered a load of curry from the local takeaway along with copious amounts of beer, a good few hours later my stomach decided it wanted to see my dinner again and a healthy proportion of rice found its way onto the car park outside, weedbed stumbled out later and stumbled back in the lodge perplexed.. "there's loads of maggots in the car park 😂"
Love the stories, my most vivid adventures and laughs were fishing and the randoms you would meet on the bank (fellow anglers and general public)! Had the pleasure of fishing Horton and meeting Del rip.
Dave these videos are pukka, my uncle and I are constantly looking out for when the next one is uploaded! Your doing a cracking job, sound and video quality great in my opinion, keep up the good work! Wonder if you had any stories of Farlows in Iver back in the day that’s where my uncle used to fish about 20 odd years ago. Stay safe and keep em coming 👍🏼
great stories Dave. I particularly enjoyed the video footage. To appeal to the younger viewer I suggest that you splice in a speeded-up car-cam of the journey to the lake, overdubbed with some eardrum-perforating drum and base ;}
nice1 at 43:30 youve just had a egg layed , the chickens come out to do its- proud ive made a egg call, i can hear it, i also keep chickens , well did till the fox killed them all last year, if you dont have one get a true english cukoo maran, big eggs to die for with big yolks,
@@davelane1996 just like a good boilie, put a bit of chilli powder in there food or water, just 2 table spoon each day and you will get the most amazing deep rich dark yolks ,kashmiri chilli, or paprika even better, the more red the chilli, or paprika, the better, , takes about 11+ days for it to start working, but its good for them, its organic, and people go mad for the eggs, the guy next door to me ,would buy everyone he could get, cheers
Watching this for the 3rd time...about every 3-4 month's..lol.. great watch.
Hi Dave, just watched one and two, great video`s and take me back to the 80s great fishing and crap gear but wouldn`t change it!!!!

They make some right old noises when they lay, they also now have a queuing
system to get in the house next to the 2 mums.
