Hey jingles, I just wanted to tell you something. Keep up your amazing commentaries on whatever game is going on in the background, that is the reason I was drawn to you channel, and keep coming back, is because of your charm, your laugh, your humour and your personality not what game is ring played, I don't come to the mighty jingles for the game play (that's a bonus) it's for you. Just wanted to let you know how awesome you are and how much you mean in my life!
also to add to the defensive thing, Sweden like Finland has thick forest, specially in the North. That being the most probably land assault route. Soviets pushing through middle of Finland, Cross border at Haparanda an then push North and South. Thick forests mean following roads, even though tanks can bulldoze a tree, pushing through whole forest is a problem. so roads and tracks it is. Which means Swedes like Finns know what are the probable routes. Which mean that thing would sit in ambush behind some road bend, with its barrel pointed at the roads all ready lined up. Tank comes along the road, pull trigger. Combine with the hill, cliffs, rock fields, swamps, lakes and rivers and the Swedes can pretty much predict the advance of any heavy equipment. So you didn't much need turning turret when, the enemy could come through from maybe two or three directions. Just put barrel on each approach and be done. This ain't flat plains warfare.
We've got a bit of a crap position strategically, honestly, what with Stockholm being right on the frickin' coast. The Russians have some scary good hovercraft and other transport options to make fast attacks viable. Heard some estimates thrown around about how Sweden couldn't really hold off an invasion for more than 12 minutes or so. But then, that only speaks to the S Tank and other designs we have laying around. Highly mobile, lots of AA options, loads of focus on stealth, self-sufficiency and long-term holdout strategy. We learned from the Winter War too. Me though? I'm less afraid of the Russians these days. If anything, I think we ought to be moving closer to that portion of the world...
Comes to a guy in a T-Shirt (at this temperatur -.- ) and still asks him if he is from Sweden xD Oh Jingles just please keep being yourself we love you for it ;D
There's a story... Went to Edmonton in January, back in '11 I think it was. We had a few days of blizzard. Even the Canucks I was hanging with themselves were like "How the shit are you just _walking around_ like that?!". I had to take a piercing out when we were walking around outside for a couple of hours just because my ear was starting to numb up, but other than that... I was a bit surprised myself, frankly. Maybe you've gotten too used to holding on to those big damn buckets of dishwater from Tim Horton's.
I belive Bovington have a Czech G-13 which is essentially a Hetzer so technically yes he should have. Actually I think it was in the video of when he was last there.
Apparently none of the Hetzers are Hetzers anyway. Whatshisname said so in the WG inside the tank video on the little TD that everyone calls a Hetzer but isn't.
Yeah, there's that... Didn't really think of us Swedes as that "big" though. Maybe I haven't been enough to the Isles. Went to Mexico a bit just recently, but you expect people to be shorter there. And haven't really noticed much of a discrepancy when I've been in Canada or the States. Then again, Jingles _is_ an evil gnome...
you need to double check your history. the swedes did a LOT of invading post-viking era. mostly into Norway and Finland. Sweden has a very impressive military history that is rarely talked about. i think here are 30 different russo/swedish wars, mostly over Finland and other Baltic states. read up on Gustavus Adolphus, very interesting life.
Until we got so used to being "moderate" that we went retarded and gave up Norway. Yeah, Finland we could do without. We have enough damn trees as is. But god damn if that oil and sea rights wouldn't have been good to hold on to...
Thanx for visiting Jingles, great to meet you and keep up your positive spirit in your videos!! Regards from Jurmungandur and the [JAERN] clan based in Östersund Jämtland.
Neh. We weren't "invading" people by the time of, say, Karl the 12th so much as "having a bit of war between friends because we're fecking bored and there's nothing else on". 'Course, if we'd had more sense, we wouldn't have gotten so settled down and status quo that we gave up Norway, no matter how shitty the weather...
ElectricRazer Not sure about "better looking". Oslo's damn beautiful, I'll give ya that, but I'm not sure whether if we're speaking of the country or the people here. Jingles, your Swedish pronounciation is absolutely marvellous! Glad you enjoyed it here.
I've actually gotten to get inside a Swedish Hetzer at Camp Mabry, Texas Military Museum. Which for those who have never been there, GO it's a fantastic museum with lots of activities throughout the year. Including "Hands on History Event" which is when I got to get inside the Hetzer and M4A3 (105) Sherman.
"When somebody suggested, just throw something into the crowd" You're welcome for the suggestion, Jingles. :D Still sad about the poor kid that got the first cap-grap. Oh, and the next time you show up here, I challenge you. Let's see if the Gnome can out-eat the Ogre!
Great video from Arsenalen Tank Museum, Jingles. I have also made a film from the Arsenalen Tank Museum. But I never got the chance to look inside the tanks as a regular visitor. That Hetzer you saw is a very rare one. It´s the first generation Hetzer. Best regards/Battle Fatigue
The real cold countries is where the humidity lies. Once you get a dose of -20 C in Sweden and then -20 C in Nunavut, you'll be running back to Sweden to warm up!!
I'm from Ireland and this country is too hot for me. I can't even keep my jacket on when it's below 0 degrees. I sweat even when it's snowing and end up carrying my jacket home.
I'm pretty sure the Bovington Hetzer has not been moved in a few years, every time I have visited it has been in exactly the same spot with no signs of recent movement. Even at TankFest the Hetzer didn't go out in the display so was still sat in the same place.
my dad is a Swedish ex tank driver, didn't really serve in the army as one, but still. He still loves to occasionally mention the time he broke his leg while out on a battle exercise X3
I think the S-Tank design is really interesting with the barrel going all the way through to the back with the ammo. It's like a tank version of a bullpup rifle. Really cool.
Have you not been to the French National Tank Museum in Saumur, Jingles? There's a Hetzer there, and I'm pretty sure the Imperial War Museum, Duxford has one in the Land Warfare museum.
a few days ago there were a accident nearby that place, they were gonna move some of the vehicles to a training field and for some reason one went out on a frozen lake and went through the ice, the commander and one other got out, but the driver drowned. its not know what model the vehicle was, but it was not a normal tank. it was some form of towing vehicle.
My dad used to be a driver for the Stridsvagn 103. And my owns one I am pretty sure or he is a co-owner of the museum who has it. I've had the opportunity to sit in one driving.
Jingles, have you ever been to Finland? I think this museums would be very intresting to visit if you ever come: The Parola tank museum, submarine Vesikko and the Salpa line museum. There are also other great museums around the country, but those are my favorites! Awesome work keep it up!
Yeah it was a great day and it was a pleasure to meet you Jingles. :) Yeah the S-tank is a bit of a classic. Dad drove it in the army and I remember him telling me, when I was a kid, how he took it over a lake and at the time I thought he was a damn liar as I didn't know of it's amphibious capability. The old tank museum was at Axvall near Skövde and Skaraborgs Regemente P4(P for Pansar = Armour) where my father served his conscription time and repetition months.
Nice video Mr Jingles. I'm surprised you haven't seen the Hetzer at Bovington. It's there in its colourful cammo in the main hall opposite the Tiger......unless they've moved it since I last went.
Hi Jingles when is Rita going to do her Alien isolation stream as I am really looking forward to see her in action on that very nice atmosphere game. You do have a great job which you get to have fun with real tanks lucky man
Someone probably already told you, but the rods on the side of the S-tank is part of the wading equipment. It lools like a Sherman DD-tank when wading.
Accually Jingles, during the Napoleon war in 17- 18 century, Sweeden was very aggresive in and occupied a lot of land in todays Lativia and Polen. They also tried to wage war against the russian bear.
Tried and succeeded. They were also the fear of Europe during the Thirty Years' War, and indeed one of the main reasons the war lasted so long and wasn't merely an exercise in purging Protestants.
And now we're pretty keen on enabling other countries to wage war against each other by providing them with weapons. It's like we have understood that instead of bringing the war to Sweden, at least sending Swedish troops to invade other countries, we could just sell them some weapons and watch the outcome of the war. Saudi? No problem, rebels in Irak and Syria? Go right ahead. Giving the rights for the US to produce our missile launchers? Absolutely!
did anyone else notice a large chunk of the S-tank drone footage was completely impossible to see due to sun glare and lens darkening? the screen where the tank sat was almost black while you could see a very distinct sunset and trees in the background.. and a white building
The S tank is a brillant bit of kit. If I remember right 2 engines, one being a turbine & the other a V8. The dozer blade ment they could prepare a hull down position on there own. A true master of shoot & scoot. In a hull down postion about the only thing poaking up is the barrle & gun site. A well thought out tank that could hold its own.
Always thought the S-Tank was an awesome vehicle and this video proves I was right to think so. After crewing on M-60A1s & 3s in the Fulda Gap I can really appreciate something with a serious low AND hard to hit profile!!
I wish we had a storage like this for our tanks in Finland, in Parola. We are slowly funding it, and I think something is actually going to happen. Hopefully those awesome tanks in the Parola hill can actually get cover from wind and rain very soon.
Damnit Jingles, when will you be going to the Overloon War Museum in the Netherlands? They also have a Hetzer, a Centurion (Mk. 5/2 in our case), BUT also an M-51 Super Sherman (only 180 of those were made)!
Man, i wish i could've gone down to Arsenalen to meet you jingles, but i was too cought up in university studies to make the trip. oh well, perhaps i'll get the chance another time ^^ Love your videos, here's hoping for more awesome content XD
Swedes not having invaded anyone since the Viking age? Ask Finland, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Poland and Russia what they think about that. Just 300 years ago the Baltic Sea was a Swedish sea.
18:25 I think you're being a little too generous there Jingles; after the Viking age, Sweden invaded places all around the Baltic Sea, and they were only thrown back on their own land by the Great Northern War (1700-1721). After which they ethnically cleansed Swedish Lapland in the 20th century (which in some form or another they only stopped doing around 1970 and only admitted around 2000), which I'd say was also pretty invasive policy. Also, in the 17th century, Sweden for some time held a colony on the Delaware river.
Yay! Hope you had a great time here in Sweden. Its even colder now and darkness is total after 15:00. Now i'll go cook my daughter some epic meatballs. *drops mic* *returns fast and picks up mic and puts it in its proper place*
I think the most known thing to me about British Tanks is how the MBT's / MBT we have now has way too much armor, so much armor, it reminds me of the Emil I - II not being able to penetrate it's own turret. Also, ridiculously big guns.

i mean, i watch just about everything he uploads... but if there's no world of tanks, then rip in ravioli
KORTOKtheSTRONG that's the thing, when I first saw one of jingles videos I have watched all of them since.
I'm confused shouldn't the Swedish tank museum just be full of Volvo 240 estate cars?
Fedaykin24 yeah that's really weird
Aydon Hancock Next they will be saying the Swedish Airforce museum is not full of SAAB 900 turbo!
Aydon Hancock Next they will be saying the Swedish Airforce museum is not full of SAAB 900 turbo!
No no only 740
what do u think they put all that metal on?
i got very much respect for you. im not able to talk just randomly to people
he comes up with funny comments so fast
Darth Luk sqme
phlydaily Fan hey we both have profile pictures from the Bovington tank Museum!
Can also add that the strv 103 S tank mainly was made for the thick forest here in Sweden where other tanks would have a hard time get through
also to add to the defensive thing, Sweden like Finland has thick forest, specially in the North. That being the most probably land assault route. Soviets pushing through middle of Finland, Cross border at Haparanda an then push North and South.

"Soviets pushing through middle of Finland"
Yeah, we know how that turned out.
Ari Takalo lost it at haparanda :'D you ment haaparanta right?
it's Haparanda in Danish and Swedish.
Haaparanta is the finnish way of saying it.
Max Dahlin Murphy oh yes my bad :P

RealLuckless Ah. Forgot to mention. Thought it was self-implied. Swedish, from just north of Stockholm. Grew up in the archipelago.
Böani L I'm from middle Europe and I cycle to university in T-shirt pretty often. Just have to get used to it
Yeah, I take out the trash in -20 in a T-shirt. I live Quebec. :3
I thought you saw the Hetzer at Bovington a few years ago
I belive Bovington have a Czech G-13 which is essentially a Hetzer so technically yes he should have. Actually I think it was in the video of when he was last there.
Mathew graves I definitely remember him saying "Hetzers gonna hetz", it was next to the jagdpanther iirc
Pretty sure I remember that as well.
Hetzer gonna Hetz? Hetzer gonna Hetz.
Apparently none of the Hetzers are Hetzers anyway. Whatshisname said so in the WG inside the tank video on the little TD that everyone calls a Hetzer but isn't.
thank you Jingles and WG for contributing for tank museums keep up the good work.
the S tank actually can have only 1 crew if needed.
2:21 Putin in disguise.
the guy in the jacket looks soo much like the dad of a friend of mine its scary xD
lol
A lot of good viking beards in that crowd.
Willem Huiskamp Or hipsters *lol*
Yeah, there's that...
Didn't really think of us Swedes as that "big" though. Maybe I haven't been enough to the Isles. Went to Mexico a bit just recently, but you expect people to be shorter there. More hipsters then real men.
Hmm... rowsdower, I'm Not gonna feel like I was in your mind for this comment ;)
I am gonna take a little credit for this comment. ;)

Sweden has a very impressive military history that is rarely talked about. i think here are 30 different russo/swedish wars, mostly over Finland and other Baltic states. read up on Gustavus Adolphus, very interesting life.
Attacking another country doesn't quite qualify as an invasion - You kind of have to keep some of it.
And so they did.
Until we got so used to being "moderate" that we went retarded and gave up Norway. Yeah, Finland we could do without. We have enough damn trees as is. But god damn if that oil and sea rights wouldn't have been good to hold on to...
Don't forget The Thirty Years' War, where Swedish armies devastated Germany and Bohemia.
What's Eatin' You Still not an invasion.
Thanx for visiting Jingles, great to meet you and keep up your positive spirit in your videos!! Regards from Jurmungandur and the [JAERN] clan based in Östersund Jämtland.
Thanks for visiting! I hope that you come back again soon. :)
You are great person Jingles
The viking era? Ever heard of the Swedish Empire? Sweden were invading people long after the viking era..
You Svenskjævle wish you invaded people long after the viking era...
Mansen I'm not Swedish, I come from the richer and better looking next door country.
ElectricRazer Not sure about "better looking". Oslo's damn beautiful, I'll give ya that, but I'm not sure whether if we're speaking of the country or the people here. And you _must_ admit you lucked out with the oil. Me? I'm just regretful that moderation and consensus-think have given such a damn growth platform for self-destructive politics. ElectricRazer Richer country? Denmark? (Huehuehue)
Norway isn't rich - They're paying a fortune for basic amenities and food because of their remote location and half-in status with the EU.
The Infantriekanonewagen 91 is amphibious too, isn't it?
Darren Loo Yes, it is.
How to butcher the Swedish language 101
Damn, your pronouncation of Swedish words was mighty good! Clear and near-perfect Swedish, yet at the same time understandable for other languages, such as German and English (unsurprisingly, as the languages are related, but different none the less).

You can hear how excited Jingles is meeting all the people at the start of the video. Good video.
Great aerial filming there, just at 18:21 the quadcopters auto-adjusting brightness got lost on the combat field.
There is a hetzer in Bovington Jingles, oh dear oh dear :) Lovely video, its so great to see your excitement to see all those people
"When somebody suggested, just throw something into the crowd"
You're welcome for the suggestion, Jingles.
9:20 Jingles that's not the cleaning rods, it's the canvas for the tank so it can float and cross rivers and so on.
Hi Jingles, the t55 @ 9:36 is for training purposes (for training the crew and I guess mechanics)
im freezing my ass off here in Germany and this 14 year old kid at 2:58 is standing there in a t shirt
Welcome to Sweden, it get's "worse" if you go to Finland though, they think it's hot outside even when the Swedes freeze.
The real cold countries is where the humidity lies. Once you get a dose of -20 C in Sweden and then -20 C in Nunavut, you'll be running back to Sweden to warm up!!
Peter Zwegert eyyy thats me, the 14 year old kid in t-shirt, im 16 btw lmao

Jingles how have you been to Bovington yet not seen a hetzer??
Mayb. Strange though, it's in one of the main halls right next to one of the Tiger II's
I'm pretty sure the Bovington Hetzer has not been moved in a few years, every time I have visited it has been in exactly the same spot with no signs of recent movement. Even at TankFest the Hetzer didn't go out in the display so was still sat in the same place.
Jingles is getting far too old for this
Lukas Saunders Bovingtons Hetzer was a G-13, this was a actual Hetzer, which is rare to see.
alphadogg64 what's the difference because they look pretty much the same, they even have the same gun from the looks of it.
When I was a kid in the early 1970's, I built a Tamiya motorized model of a Swedish S tank. It was so cool watching it drive through mud in the yard!
my dad is a Swedish ex tank driver, didn't really serve in the army as one, but still. He still loves to occasionally mention the time he broke his leg while out on a battle exercise X3
19:40 well actually jingles it has 1 degree of elevation, but other than that yep its fixed in place

At 5:03 Hey Jingles watch your mouth, you just said "holy shit" in front of a child! Lol
Noobster Oo
***** I can kinda agree with that haha, but I thought Jingles would know better. :)
Eh, i dont think he understood what jingles was saying anyway :p
casey escobar I was just pointing something out because I thought it was funny, ok.
this is sweden lol, swearing is pretty normal here.
My dad used to be a driver for the Stridsvagn 103. And my owns one I am pretty sure or he is a co-owner of the museum who has it. I've had the opportunity to sit in one driving.

Base Borden in Ontario (Canada) has a sectioned tank as well - also a T-55 I believe.

Same in germany D:
My damn country is beaten in weapons production only by Russia and the US! Imagine it! It's absurd and horrible.
and almost won. they only lost bekos the king was to overconfident
The Swedish S Tank.. Swedes making low riders before they were cool.
Wonderful Jingles, welcome back to Sweden anytime!
Actually Jingles, those rods on the side of the strv103 aren't cleaningrods for the gunbarrel, they are for the framework for the floatationdevice.
"We will just buy her a Volvo"..... Ahhh Jingles the only channel with great content :D
Welcome back Mr. BoJingles! pls stay longer :P
That sectioned T-55 looks a hell of a lot like the one at CFB Borden here in Canada!
In the bovington tank mueseum. They have a hetzer
in the nationaal militair museum (national military museum) in the Netherlands we have the exact same T-55
Its really sweet that most speak English so well :)
did anyone else notice a large chunk of the S-tank drone footage was completely impossible to see due to sun glare and lens darkening? the screen where the tank sat was almost black while you could see a very distinct sunset and trees in the background.. and a white building
If you already saw mingles with jingles, the new stuff starts at 7:32.
great quality of the video its best i have seen on your channel yet so far :) Guud Job*!!!!!
Isn't there a Hertzer at Bovington, I am pretty sure jingles has seen one before
Always thought the S-Tank was an awesome vehicle and this video proves I was right to think so. After crewing on M-60A1s & 3s in the Fulda Gap I can really appreciate something with a serious low AND hard to hit profile!!
Not seen that Hetzer at Bovington then Jingles....
I enjoyed the Jingles POV cam tour of the line ... also ... Jingles' guns at 07:40 ... omg Jingles you lifting bro ?
I wish we had a storage like this for our tanks in Finland, in Parola. We are slowly funding it, and I think something is actually going to happen. Hopefully those awesome tanks in the Parola hill can actually get cover from wind and rain very soon.
Not cleaning rods, but part of the amphib screen. You don't need 10 rods (5 per slide) to pull the gun through.
Damnit Jingles, when will you be going to the Overloon War Museum in the Netherlands?
They also have a Hetzer, a Centurion (Mk. 5/2 in our case), BUT also an M-51 Super Sherman (only 180 of those were made)!
Man, i wish i could've gone down to Arsenalen to meet you jingles, but i was too cought up in university studies to make the trip. oh well, perhaps i'll get the chance another time ^^
Love your videos, here's hoping for more awesome content XD
Since I live 10 minutes away from Arsenalen, I thought about popping by. Now I'm glad I gave it a miss, holy shit lol.
The best way to describe the S-tank is not as a turretless tank, but as a turret with tracks.
Swedes not having invaded anyone since the Viking age? Ask Finland, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Poland and Russia what they think about that. Just 300 years ago the Baltic Sea was a Swedish sea.
Runner357 Well, the danes did ask for it :-)
Didn't have to invade Finland usually because it was a part of Sweden for most of the time :).
Lets not be proud of our country invading another country, we will sound like americans.
Ezzy CSGO I'm proud of our history. It made us what we are today
OfficialEzzy
Stop sounding like a self-hating Sosse ;)
It's actually pretty common to see players from countries other than the US playing in the NHL, they go to Canada to play as well
good to see they support arsenal in sweden.
love the crowd & the tanks
Glad you enjoyed it, I live about half an hour from the museum. Wanted to come but the little one got sick over the week-end. Gonna come back soon?
I heard some dirty stuff went on in the ARSEnalen...
Wait jingles you never seen a hetzer? There's one in Bovington in grey steel where the tiger 2s are at
Those are NOT cleaning rods Jingles. Those are supports for the swimming skirt!
You can raise a canvas skirt around the tank and become amphibious.
Also, in the 17th century, Sweden for some time held a colony on the Delaware river.
never seen a hetzer. but jingles i remember you saying hetzers gota hetz in one of your old vids while staring at one
15:11 Haven't you seen the Hetzer at Bovington ?
There's an adorable little Hetzer, just hetzing away at Bovington! If you managed to miss that one, I for one am deeply disappointed Jangles....
They also have a Hetzer in War Museum Overloon
Yay! Hope you had a great time here in Sweden. Its even colder now and darkness is total after 15:00. Now i'll go cook my daughter some epic meatballs. *drops mic* *returns fast and picks up mic and puts it in its proper place*
1600 people!?! So the queue for the toilet was spectacular; just not in the way one would have hoped. :')
I think the most known thing to me about British Tanks is how the MBT's / MBT we have now has way too much armor, so much armor, it reminds me of the Emil I - II not being able to penetrate it's own turret.
Also, ridiculously big guns.
How have you not seen a Hetzer? there is one at Bovington tank museum and Duxford imperial museum!!!!!
Nice vid Jingles. Would love to go to a tank museum someday.
Not been here for a month. Congrats on the gift to Rita.
Doesn't the bovington tank museum have a hetzer, i would have thought jingles would have seen it?
thx for uploading!!
your so different when your not busy, at tank fest you didnt have chance to be social, but it was nice meeting you
pleased to see u visit my home town
Did you film anything else from Sweden? Anything we might see?
Those aren't cleaning rods on the "S" Tank! Those are tube supports for the swim screen!
The line to get in to the museum rivals the lines for black Friday shopping.
There are Salt Mines in Cheshire. That's where all the crap they spread on cold roads comes from. Not sure if the Gnomes have discovered it though.
great drone pilot, pointing the camera at the sunset, making everything on the ground so dark I cant see it.
jingles did you also get to take a look in side the dukw (the amphibious vechile with 6 wheels). its awsome isnt it??
