By the end of today's three episodes, my wife and I had cried so much. I came in expecting one of the tragedies and was bracing myself for it, and well, Grog's response, but this hit me, and I could not recover. By the end of episode 9, I was a mess, and my wife was even worse.
I am still amazed they Had the Courage to kill him Off for good, instead of bringing him Back Like in the Campaign. I must say i am a little bit hurt. Percy was the one, when i watched Season 1, having No Idea what Critical Role was, WHO i identified with the Most, so much so that i even spoiled myself by Reading His CR Wiki Page. Didnt Stop me from Hearing the Podcast of Campaign 1 and watching the Show though. I went through the Same process with Luke Skywalker and Mara Jade in Star Wars Legends 8 years ago and was understandibly pretty pissed when i saw what Disney Made Out of Luke. But at least with Critical Role i know the real people behind IT are the ones WHO brought These Characters to Life for US and have a plan for deviating from the Original. And there IS that little bit of Hope that by this time next week Percy IS Back with US and Vex can finally Tell him, that IT was His all along.
Although Percy dies in a similar way in the original story, I just can’t see them killing him off indefinitely. I had to comment twice because GAH. The Critical Role cast are both smart and cruel. They changed the timeline of things so even those that saw the campaign are left uncertain. 😭

I have to believe that it was supposed to be the other shoulder, close to his heart, but at some point in production the shot got flipped and never fixed. Otherwise its just silly. This man has fought dragons.
You have major arteries near your shoulders, but his it looked to be right in the chest cavity, if thats not straight in the heart,(flipped?) it's in the central artery leading to it and ye, would take a few minutes but you bleed fast
Back in the campaign, I was playing Life is Strange at the same time. I finished that game, and then the next day this happened in the campaign. I was not well for a week.
I love that they went all out on this, to much writing with kiddy gloves these days. The fun thing is, I knew what was coming and it still hit like a train. However, they wrote this to be rather tame compared to how he ended up in the Campaign.

@@galmorzu Yup. In order for any attempt to resurrect Percy to be made they have to get his soul back from Orthax. Which means Vox Machina, in addition to dealing with Raishan and what she's planning have to track down Ripley and deal with her and Orthax.

I do like the twist that when vex died it was percys fault for stepping into a trap. Now vex walked into the trap and it got percy killed.
