Technically, the game itself IS free. If someone wants additional content that is paid, makes sense. They have to have ways to fund the game's continuation. I have read that there will be paid content, beyond cosmetics, for DDV. DLC for characters or biome expansions most likely, that wouldn't be integral to the main gameplay.
You have to cook the red potato with slush ice, lobster, chili pepper and raspberry. You will get 'ice red stew... Yuck'. Then you have to go to the ratatouille realm and place the ice red stew in the serving window. Then you get another potion!! The raging red potion will bring the spice of life back to something gone lifeless.
So i couldnt get the red potato until i got the gold potato so maybe they are connected some how 🤔
I wanted to put my theory out there for the golden potion - the name is gleaming gold potion and it has the power of the sun. The song that Rapunzel sings to make her hair to come to life which can also brings thing back to life - says flower gleam and glow, let your power shine. Would love to know if you think this could be the right track. No idea what with Rapunzel it could be but I think it will be related to her story line.

You can cook your red potato and turn it into potion.
Go to stove, add:
Red Potato + Slush Ice + Lobster + Chilli Peppers + Raspberry.
It will create Icy-Red Stew..Yuck recipe.
Go to the castle in Remy's realm and place it on the serving station (next to the door).
A red potion will appear.
I saw the golden potato in Scrooges store. I saw the weel to the safe glowing. I didn't know that a golden potato even existed

Cook it with chilli pepper, lobster, raspberry and slush ice. I did that in Remy's house so im not sure if it has to be there or any kitchen. You'll get a dish called something like yuck. Then go to Ratatouille realm and place the dish in the "orders" window. And you'll get a red potion. That's it for now.

It sounds like a villain and a person who has gone dead and cold. It sounds like the same exact events along with Prince Eric but it might be something to add with this. Princess and the Frog was just a recently added category Within dream Valley so perhaps it might be the voodoo villain. They would happen connect the character plowline somehow with the potions.

There is also a book in the castle in the hidden room. When you pick it up it has a quest symbol but I haven’t found out what to do with it yet since no quest pops up when it’s in your inventory.

OKAY, for those of you who have solved the golden potato so far and now have the “Gleaming Gold Potion”… i have a theory.
golden potato - noon fragment (gold)
red potato - dusk fragment (red)
purple potato (in future??) - dawn fragment (purple)
what if the potatoes are somehow connected to rapunzel/mother gothel?

How to use the Golden Potato in Disney Dreamlight Valley
As revealed by TH-camr user Tinkerlily, you can now take the Golden Potato to the Mystical Cave in the lower part of Dreamlight Valley, and place it on the pedestal near the three crop statues.
Select the Transfiguration Tablet on the pedestal, place the Golden Potato on the slab, and it will evolve to become a Golden Carrot.
Then, visit Elsa’s cave with the Golden Carrot, and find another Transfiguration Tablet on a nearby table. Use the Golden Carrot with this tablet, and you’ll get a Golden Crab.
The Golden Crab needs to be brought to the Dream Castle, to the top floor where another Transfiguration Tablet lies. This will change the crab to a Golden Night Thorn. Take this thorn to Merlin’s House, where another transfiguration tablet turns the thorn into a Golden Potion.
This appears to be the final evolution of the Golden Potato for now - but its purpose remains a mystery.

I came across that little stone on accident. Gave it the potato and thought I messed up cause now my potato was gone
You can find the golde potato in scroog mc duck store then geo to his big safe on the wall then inract with it and boom a golde potato hopes that helps

You need to get the other potatos and make potions whit them! And when you get all the 6 potions you can craft the rainbow potion and whit that it come the rainbow foe as a pet 😊

my golden potato appered out of nowhere
Now the red potato, this one is easier! you can find this in Remy’s house on the side of his kitchen. Most of you will have all the stuff you need for this one. Go to a cooking station you will need and in this order!
Red potato,
ice (from Remy restaurant)
Lobster
Chilli pepper
raspberries
This will give you icy-red stew…yuck. Now we take this to remy’s realm and go to the serving, window, it will tell you to install place the red stew and you will get a red potion.
Is it bad I found the potato on accident while doing something for merlin. I didn't even realize it was this rare or secretive
Curious on how you found out about what to do with the golden potato before making this video?? I thought about eating one just to see what would happen since it says in the description not to eat it, but have t tried eating one yet. 😂🤷🏼♀️
I have accumulated 89 golden potatoes using that hack with the chests in the castle…I wanted to get a few 99 stacks but never got around to getting anymore and then I noticed yesterday when I logged on after the update happened I noticed that the golden potato I had in my pockets disappeared but the ones I had stashed in the chest in the castle were still there thankfully!! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

@@Winefred213 any hack has the potential to break your game, especially one that’s still in beta and not meant for stuff like that at all.
I’m not seeing the stone to place the golden potato on in my game. Do you have to do something before to get it there?
Ps4 here...CAN not feed animals new glitch so I can not pass the scrooges key. Feed 2 raccoons quest 🤯😵💫

I had the same glitch. Do you have a gift or any other quest items in your inventory or maybe any crafted guides? I emptied my inventory into a chest nearby and thought maybe the crafted pickaxe guide I had in my inventory was glitching so I couldn't feed the raccoons. As soon as I emptied my inventory except for the blueberries it worked.
I'm also PS4.
YES just ditch the assigned action, jlb bkue books in a trunk qnd you can then feed animals again. Weird lol

I noticed today you just spotted the new wooden window and the boat table and couch and ottoman the blue prints to make these items are in Eric house you have to buy the blueprints 6 total those rocks Donald’s and Eric’s furniture the book case and the window
If you don’t go to Eric’s every 12 hours youlll lose on getting these

What happened to all the magical chests? I had several placed in my valley that I would fill with crafting items as I collected out side and I had one magical chest in my house so I used it as a top up method ectopic then open in my house and then sort and store things later in my home. Now all my magical chests are gone except the one in my house... has this happened to anyone else?
They made the magical chests for indoors only...
I don’t get why they made the vintage chests indoors only but they did. To me that eliminates the only thing that made it valuable/useful.
