- Recorded August 17, 1972. The panelists are Pat Carroll, Arte Johnson, Nanette Fabray and Richard Dawson. The host is Steve Allen. This episode also features "Elliot Nootrac," a cartoon character that interacts with the panel in real time.
Conversing with a cartoon on tv in real time was incredible. This would have been great adapted to a childrens phone-in programme.
Elliot Nootrac was an Aniforms character, the same as "Fred from Channel One" as seen on Captain Kangaroo of that era.
Very enjoyable.
First contestant reminds me of stretchy mcgillicutty who was a short lived character on the Saget era of AFV
Good eye. That was exactly the same process seen here.
@@mattottinger5058 I have always wondered how the process worked when I saw it done on AFV, it's really cool to see how it's done here on IGAS.

The Aniform technology was also used to animate a character named Gerald McBoing Boing. He might have been part of the Captain Kangaroo show.
Aniform was patented in 1960. "Gerald McBoing Boing" was a 1950 UPA cartoon, with some sequels, animated simply but using the normal animation process. The Captain Kangaroo show had a character called "Fred" which used the Aniform process.
Always liked Red Buttons
That kind of animation always fascinated me.
