    Thank you! I still steamed mine and used baking powder instead of yeast (1TBLsp for every 2 cups of flour) for about 35mins and it came out perfectly!

      That's great honey! I personally prefer yeast or both because baking powder just doesn't do it for me in steamed bread. Thanks for the feedback 🙏🏾❤

    I MADE THIS & IT TURNED OUT AMAZING...I JUST THREW ALL THE INGREDIENTS TOGETHER, RAISED IT & THEN, DID IT IN THE MICROWAVE...IT MAKES EXCELLENT TOAST BTW...AND YOU CAN FREEZE IT & THAW OUT IN THE MICROWAVE & IT'S JUST AS GOOD AS BEFORE...THANKS, ME LADY IN S.A....VANCOUVER, CANADA...🙏;)

    For heating up the microwave you can just heat a cup of water I think, instead of turning the microwave on empty

    I made 2 of them today for my son & his friends. They finished both of them in a flash & didn't even touched the pap. I made mine in a big Argilla (Clay) pot.

    When u wanna proof it, put boiling water in a cup and microwave for 1 min then put the dough. I find that the steam lasts longer and has a shorter time to proof

    How is the bread once cooled or kept away in the fridge for later consumption? Baked or steamed foods in the microwave tend become dry and a bit hard/ rubbery after they cool down. Does this recipe retain its moisture a few days after ?
    Many thanks.

    • @WannaCookOfficial

      Hi honey, for me the bread was still fresh and edible the next day. So I think because it has yeast it keeps well, I don't know about a prolonged period of time

      Something I used te do with stale hard French bread, is to wrap it in wet or humid paper towels, throw it into the microwave for I don't recall how long, a min or two maybe. Afterwards, the bread feels and tastes fresh.

    After preparing the dough, do you wait for it to rise or you just put it in the microwave?

      It shouldn't burn if you hydrate the flour thoroughly, i.e. allow it to prove, and oil the container you cook it in, I know it may be boring but I think those are the clues to success with this recipe.

  • @boxerfencer
    @boxerfencer ปีที่แล้ว

    Why does this take 20+ minutes. There's vids that show bread taking 5 min or so.
    Does the volume of the dough affect cooking time?

    • @DidiREINHOLD
