    Just used this pack for the first time in Yosemite this weekend and man was it comfortable. I upgraded to this pack from a Teton Sports Explorer 4000 and the Rook 65 is far superior. I don't think there is a better pack out there for the price. Thanks for the video.

      Totally agree, Nat. You can easily pay $100 to $150 more for a very similar pack. Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for the review. I hiked PCT with Levity and HMG, JMT with Atmos 65 and several different hiking with Exos. Now I'm ended up with Rook 65 and daylite pack which is the most suitable combination for me as they are comfy, light, cooling my back and have enough pockets. I usually put my groundsheet or wet clothes on my front pouch but as Rook doesn't have one, I want to make some modifications on the front side like you with string. Very brilliant!

      Yes, that's what I used my string for...hanging wet clothes. It actually worked better than a mesh pocket because they dry out faster this way. Thanks for watching!

    I bought the Rook 65 as my first pack ever this year. I’ve tested it quite a bit now and have been enjoying it! Adding the cord to the back of the pack is a key addition

    "To be (Most) honest, The (Osprey Rook 65L) is the ideal option, "Balanced, Customizable & Minimalist" pack on the market from "MY" experience, You don't need to "Razzle and Dazzle" on a hike (or) Trail....Bottom line: "THE PACK SIMPLY JUST WORKS!!" 😁👍

    hey can you do a tutorial on how to do the bungiee pocket on the back, just bought myself one and would love to add this pocket!

    • @outdooradventurefilms1436
      @outdooradventurefilms1436  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Hendrick. Are you talking about the string/rope on the outside? If so, all I did was take the thin rope/string from my old pack (put you can get the same stuff at Home Depot or Lowes (probably any hardware store). The Rook has loops that it can weave through. It works great for hanging wet clothes. I also kept my bandana hung from it, which I used as a towel. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

      @@outdooradventurefilms1436 awesome thank you, ive just purchased myself a rook 65, love that it is inbetween an ultralight and and traditional pack. was thinking of putting an elastic mesh on the front joined onto the loops to function as another pocket. all the best for 2022 from new zealand :)

      I believe it should suit your torsal. I'd concern more on the pack fixed-size waist belt. The best thing to do is trying it out with load in the pack before you decide. As a side note, the pack uses polyester as the main material, which renders a rougher touch than its nylon counterpart. The pack also lacks of front mesh and under lid pockets.

      When you try out the pack also pay attention to the shoulder straps. I found them a little rougher than what I used to but they aren't too bad.

      Good advice! I am 5'11", 170 lbs, so I can't speak to how well it would work for you, Fly Rod Hiker. It would definitely benefit you to try to find a local outlet with this pack to try it on before purchasing.

    Any issues with this pack being noisy?? My other question is do you think the 65L rook could fit a large winter sleeping bag?

    • @JLJConglomeration

      i have one, mines a squeaker :(

    • @outdooradventurefilms1436
      @outdooradventurefilms1436  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, sorry for the late reply. When I have a lot of weight in mine, it squeaks. As the weight goes down throughout my trip, it stops squeaking. I have fit my bigger, heavier sleeping back in it, but it makes it tight. My Kelty Cosmic Down 20 degree bag fits easily with room to spare. I hope this helps.

    How would you compare this suspension to the AG series?
    Thanks again

    • @outdooradventurefilms1436
      @outdooradventurefilms1436  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Joshua. I only tried on a friend's AG, but did not hike with it, so I don't have a lot of experience with it. From the research I did, I understand that the suspension system is similar, but not exactly the same. I found it to be very comfortable though. I was up around 40 lbs with my full bear canister and water and had no problems.
