Great game with fantastic soundtrack. To me Max Payne 2 > Max Payne 1 > Max Payne 3.
See while Max Payne 1 nailed the tragic story and atmosphere it feel a bit too one dimension. Max Payne 2 really brought home the noir effect. Intrigue, mystery, tragedy, revenge, betrayal, fear, love all the ingredients with the right mix.
Damn straight , homie, you made a great point.I like 3 but i prefer Graphic Novel rather than cinematic cutscenes, the former focus more on atmospheres whereas the latter on details.
And then we had the turd that was maxpayne 3. Good game if it wasnt a Maxpayne game.
@@Carpediem8110101 Max Payne 3 was great, it just had less emphasis on noire, it doesnt change anything about it being perfect gameplay wise. Music and atmosphere was stellar, it had some flows, like dismissing Mona and what Max felt for her in pretty much a throwaway line, but it still was a Max Payne game.

it wasnt new jersey anymore, it wasnt a man in his "prime" anymore, it wasnt a man who had something to lose like in 1 and 2, and i think 3 really encapsulates that
besides the gameplay, music and atmosphere being perfect the one-liners are still on-point, even if the darkness of the first 2 games wasnt there, i think it was remade into a new different vibe that max payne 3 had, and it nailed it so well
and also there is the couple new jersey chapters which are my personal favourites which nail the max payne vibe
@@bh28v2 This is why i would love to see MP1 and 2 remade on Rage with Max Payne 3's gameplay, while adopting more of this style(maybe having a choice between MP3 style cutscenes and panels like MP1 and MP2), plus more competent looking classic skins for Max.
Tho i personally would love for him to have james' likeness. He is quite a bit younger looking than max in the 3rd game still, so they could make him a bit younger for the perfomance.
I doubt remedy wants to follow with Rockstar's take at all tho. It might just be same gameplay from first game with Alan wake 2 like visuals. Which aint half-bad, but also wont be what i would like to see.

just goes to show... graphics/better gameplay mechanics dont always make a game better... i cant believe they took the graphic novel element away from max payne 3... imo rockstar failed with max payne 3. But any game R* make is going to be a hit... max payne 3 werent bad.. but it went away from the roots that made MP brilliant/unique.
Anyway great soundtrack... my fav is "Vladimir" 23:20

The Mona lives ending is canon to me, I would’ve taken more Max Payne any day but 3 was just wrong, not a bad game gameplay wise, not at all, I’m also glad they made Max look like his VA, but the story is just so random and ridiculous.

You know what really bothers me, the tragic character that Mona is. For a mysterious, opportunist, shellfish killer, she actually loved Max back, even more so than her own self. And to Max, she was a temporary shelter. At the end he loathes Mona so much, someone who literally gives her life for him, that he couldn't forgive himself.

ohhh what memories come back listening to this..sweet game starting from part 1 ..that was so fresh and had such a good story line...voice acting...and the gameplay was extremely fun and easy ..thus was it a very addicting game..on pc was better in my opinion but I played on ps2 to and that was doable as well

i not like 3th part of the game beacause is changed ALL No original music in menu .And video intros loading 3 hours. .Max payne 1 an 2 its maked more realistic,with awesome sound from begining to the end, and technology of capturing face's look much good
Maybe not in the menu, but it had a newly original music in-game, written by Health and other artists.
I liked Max Payne 3, but that was the first game in the series I played. I can understand and respect why original fans didn't like the radical change in the third entry.
